Hey gang.
Ok, so I just watched a video about some guy who logged onto suicide chatrooms. He pretended to be a female American nurse and told the girls he talked to that he knew how they felt, he was going through the same kinda situations.
He advised them what kind of rope to use if they chose hanging as a method, and even wanted them to hang themselves on a webcam as he watched, saying he would hang himself at the same time so they could "go together."
What I wanna know is why hasnt this guy hasnt been arrested. I know it's difficult when it all happens online but........ *sigh* ok rant over.
But people if anyone here has these kinda feelings please talk to someone. If it dosent feel like anyone will miss you, you at least have your fellow TTer's.

Bug, i am afraid it's not so simple.. not everyone has the right person to talk with.

But this guy.. he must feel as insane and miserable as hell.. or he is turned on by watching grils being hunged.

this is very serious and the hollywood brother agrees with you. suicide is a cheap bulls..t way out. the hollywood brother understands that sometimes in life things can seem bleak and hopeless but if you go through to the next day or the next week, you never know what is around the corner. The hollywood brother thinks if you really consider suicide as a viable option then you need help. whether the help is professional or just a friend to laugh with or a dog to lick you but please get help. the hollywood brother do not want this forum to lose any of its members

oh bug....you've opened a very serious topic.
the fact that there are suicide chatrooms shouldn't surprise me, i guess...but it still does.
there's always help out there for those who look for it. a friend of my family lost a grandson....all because he didn't have someone with whom to talk things over.

Ah, this brings back memories. I fortunately did talk a very close firned out of suicide. It was very interesting really. I called just as she was putting the glass to her wrist, so I stayed on the phone for a few hours, fell asleep, but my sister took over. (Yes, God Damn it I fell ASLEEP!)

Though I succeeded, it did not stop her from being killed in acar accident two years later. Alas. But yeah, that guy is very odd. I'd go Saw on his bootay.

People like that are twisted. Encouraging people to kill themselves. Luckily for him that's considered a federal offense so god willing he becomes the blushing bride of a tall handsome man named biff in leavenworth state penn.

Hollywoodbrothe, although what you say makes sense, there are those desparate people who just want their torment to end..and they might not be alone, but just can't express themselves...case in point..

when i was a child, my second grade school teacher's husband committed suicide by jumping from a bridge...my dad's friend happened to be walking on the bridge at the time, and tried to grab the man by his arms..this friend of my dad's told dad that he had never seen such despair in his life..that the man's eyes were tormented beyond belief and that he fought to be released...sometimes it's so easy to say seek help, talk to a friend whatever..but this man wasn't alone in the world..he had his wife, children, a career..in fact as irony would have it, he was my husband's high school teacher..there are those few who just can't take it one more minute..and for those few, i understand and feel they are not doomed..

the hollywood brother used to be depressed back before the hollywood brother became the hollywood brother. when you is thinking of ending it all it may sound good but the one thing that you do not properly comprehend is that there is still a small promise of a better day. it may take a while to get your second wind but eventually you do. the hollywood brother know that many people feel like the deck is tacked against them and they can't win so they consider the idea of suicide. now see this the part that people do not always consider. you can give a big hollywood brother middle finger saluate to your problems by just simply outlasting them until they clear up or get better. when you are depressed it is hard to see a better future and the hollywood brother understands that but if you give it time and maybe a little patience you may work through it. all the hollywood brother would really ask for all the people out there that are in trouble or are depressed is to live with it until you can fix it. the hollywood brother believes in everyone here on this forum and the hollywood brother knows that no matter what the odds that are against you, you can survive.

It's strange..but even during my terribly severe bout with depression five years ago last May, i never once considered suicide...not once..

While I do believe people who are utter and complete physical agony due to disease or some physical malady should be allowed to find release while being surrounded by friends and family, despair should and MUST BE TREATED as soon as possible. If you know someone who is despairing, do everything in your power to cheer them up, give them hope for the future, and let their family know so they can pitch in. No one should die from despair. Even elderly people despairing about their condition shouldn't die from despair (granted if their condition deteriorates to a very bad point were there is no hope then yes they should be allowed to die with dignity but by god, let them be surrounded by friends and family and enjoy their last moments on Earth)!

I have a funny "view" on suicide/euphanasia. Obviously, a person should just end their life on the first sign of depression. It should only be a lst resort. But if they have done all they can to convince themselves that life is worth living or relieve any unbearable agony (and everyone else has too) then they should be allowed to end it. I mean it is "their" life after all so they and they alone are the only ones who should have any say over how they should live it.

I'm an Atheist by nature, but still considerate of those who do have a belief, so I don't believe that painful struggles should be ended after a long time by natures course or the hand of God. If professional Doctors have predicted that their struggle won't get any easier then it should be down to the one who's suffering to decide what to do.

As for the topic at hand, there are some sick people in this world. I haven't seen the video myself, but from what I've read then he does seem like a twisted individual for playing of peoples emotions like that. 🙁

In a way, my mother committed suicide, when she refused her treatments and medicines and wouldn't eat..but she wasn't in her right mind..

May your mother find the peace she was looking for in the next life Izzy. I'll pray for her. I'm sorry you had to go threw that. Did she literally lose her sanity? Was it due to disease or just old age?

Roxy love....she suffered depression with delusions for years...and it got to the point, the summer before she died, in which she quit eating or taking her meds..so i had to have her declared incompetent and transferred to a mental facility...they then decided she needed shock therapy...they told me it was the only thing that would work...and if it didn't work, she would die..eventually...well of course i decided yes on that....and mom had a series of shock treatments..and it was a success...when she returned home, however, she would need to go back once a month for more shock therapy...

The following spring, she decided once again to quit eating or taking her meds..and when placed in the hospital, this time she was smart...she signed papers refusing all treatments..the hospital could do nothing...the mental facility could not take her back, since she was refusing treatments....she died after starving to death....took her two months to die...was transferred to a nursing home in my town...she was 67 lbs at death..
