As you sit in the comfort of your home, freshly showered, listening to your favorite CD, or with the TV going, in front of your computer with your steaming cup of coffee and the softness of your clean socked feet propped up in front of you, perhaps with your kids laughing in the background.....

Take a minute to remember that whether you agree with the governmental decision or not, there are military personell sitting in a sandstorm waiting to confront death. Might you take a moment to remember that it takes more strength of character than eveyrone here combined to be there.

They have families left behind. They have unborn children left behind. They have to put their fear behind them as well. They might not agree or even understand, but they are there because they love their homes, and they trust that they are doing the right thing at this time. Time will tell one way or another, but these men and women had to make a choice, and they did it. Don't judge them from your comfy chair.

i think a demonstration is in order

heard this on wls radio this morning;
in the old, and moronicly stupid(my words, not the caller) suburb of oak park illinois, there is a street, on this street there are several houses with signs that say "no to iraq war". also on this street is a house with a sign hand drawn in crayon, and marker, saying "we love you daddy, please come home safe".
the caller went on to say the house, and family with the father in the military has been assulted by their neighbors, and called vile names. what kind of jerks are these people? the caller, a woman, said she, and others were very upset over the abuse.
i'd like to go kick some oak park asses!

I have been posting a lot lately about war and how much i am anti war. I have said how much i resent Bush and this war. I do however support our troop because like it or not they still gatta go. I pray for their safe return. I wish them the best and come home soon.
