........"A Manchester team of some sort"??!!.....its the most famous sports team in the world! the story you read will no doubt be about the departure of their player David Beckham who has joined Real Madrid. Beckham and his wife (a former spice girl) are major "celebs" this side of the pond and across europe and asia, the Japs are obsessed with them.

Speaking personally I cant fucking stand them or Manu, they make me want to vomit. There is something especially unpleasant about absurdly over paid sports stars who like to rub every ones noses in it with constant and spectacular displays of appalingly bad taste. The Beckhams just cant resist any exuse for self publicity (as long as there is money in it) Even though they are worth many millions, they still could not even get married without selling the whole ceremony to a magazine. They just make me want to puke, good riddance to them I say.

That does seem a bit familiar. As for over-egoed (is that a word...it SHOULD be a word!)sports stars, that's a commodity we have in abundance here as well. Getting paid to play a game isn't ENOUGH of a dream come true...oh noooooo...gotta whine about it as well and expect sympathy from the masses. I'm just jealous actually. Not tall enough or talented enough for the pro basketball leagues here. Q
