I posted on here a while ago, and I thought I'd post again. Please note I have left out most of the tickling references because of where I am posting. I am a ler' but can switch for the right person. I am looking to meet someone local first and foremost. At this time I don't plan on leaving the state but who who knows if I meet the right person.
I have hosted a gathering, and met many people on here so if you want "references" of what kind of guy I am let me know.
On with the advert:
Hi there! I’m a fun loving, silly, yet professional 35 year old guy living in Santa Clara and looking for a friend that can develop into a long term relationship. I am marriage minded, but am not looking to run off to get married by Elvis right away. I am not looking for someone of a particular race, though I want to date someone human. Therefore, all androids, fembots, and beings of pure energy need not respond to this ad. In respect to religion I am Jewish but not overly religious and am open to people of other religions. I am looking for someone 25-42 who is a non-smoker, and not into the drug scene.
I would like to meet a woman who remembers when “The Force” was a mysterious thing that bound the universe together and not some STD passed on to a snot nosed brat doing a half-hour video game commercial in a movie.
I am a geeky guy (can’t you tell), but not the kind of geeky guy that spends 30 hours a week on online gaming, but a general geek. I am not looking for someone of a particular race, though I want to date someone human. In respect to religion I am Jewish but not overly religious and am open to people of other religions (Catholic, Wiccan, Buddhist, Robotology, Pastafarianism, etc).
My interests and hobbies vary in greater degrees than time in my life allows. I would like to find someone who can have fun having a game night at the house, a BBQ with friends, help host a wicked Halloween party, talk, dream and maybe even plan to go to Burning Man with me, will go to the Renaissance Faire (in garb is a bonus), and some see any theater shows I work tech crew on. Also I need all the encouragement as I practice my stand up comedy.
The person I wish to date would be at home hanging with my theater crew and meeting and being with my friends and vice versa. I don’t want a relationship where we keep friends in separate worlds and not allow them to mingle lest we destroy the order of the universe. I have some very nice friends, most of them are odd, quirky or downright weird but they are good people.
I am the kind of guy who will give you a foot massage, brush your hair, or cuddle up to you while we watch Star Gate SG-1 (or any of my addictive Friday Sci-Fi) block, or any other movie that strikes our fancy. I will give you Eskimo kisses, hold hands in public, give (or receive) flowers, cards or little gifts for no reason.
I am the kind of guy who is polite, a gentleman, yet can be fun and wacky with silly voices, jokes or impersonation. All the world’s a stage, so they say, and we are merely players. Have fun with life, and be comfortable around my goofy nature. Yes I can be serious and am in a professional career but that doesn’t stop me from being fun loving.
I am the kind of guy who will be your best friend, and your lover. I am not a very jealous person. However, I do like attention doted on me in social situations from time to time.
I am definitely not a sports nut but I don’t mind watching sports with someone who is a fan. My only limit is that I am not a Raiders fan at all. I grew up in San Diego and they are the enemy. I will root for other teams (usually local teams) when it isn’t a choice between the Padres or the Chargers (old stomping grounds come first, A’s next).
Can you be my dance partner? I would really like to find someone who can also be a dance partner as I would really like to learn dance. I have had a few lessons from a friend and want to get better. My primary interest is East Coast Swing, though I am also interested in Salsa, Mambo, and the dancing to standard party fare music.
Here are some things in a woman I am SEEKING:
Someone smart and funny – I like conversation and I enjoy being with someone who is funny and has a good head on her shoulder.
Is a kid at heart. You should like the idea of Going to Great America, having a night of games (scrabble, card games, board games etc) with friends, BBQing, watching Robot Chicken on TiVo, etc.
LOVE movies. I am a big fan of movies. I am not into the Blockbuster thing though (I work for their biggest competitor).
Like affection. If you like hugs, holding hands, massages, tickle fights and general goofing around, and “Eskimo kisses” then we will get along fine.
You should be a romantic at heart and like getting flowers, little gifts for no reason, and be willing to something similar.
If you can cook better than me that’s a plus because I like to learn. Otherwise I’ll just look cool with my cooking skills 😉
You should either like geeky guys (I don’t spend all day playing video games), or be a little geeky yourself.
Someone at least mildly kinky and open minded.
I have a very broad spectrum as far as my circle of friends goes and I like to mix it up with everyone. So I am looking for someone social like me.
Someone who can dance, or is willing to learn with me.
Someone who is geeky like me (see below)

TURN OFFS/Deal Breakers:
I won’t date a smoker, someone closed minded, someone who with too much baggage (carry-on is okay), someone who doesn’t read my ad and responses with 3 lines and asks “tell me more about yourself?” What you want DNA sampling, what more of me do you want to know? I don’t want someone already in a relationship. I want to settle down and have a family (either you have kids, want to have kids or adopt) this is non-negotiable in what I want in life.
BONUS POINTS if you are a fan of “They Might Be Giants,” “Weird Al,” Capitol Steps,” “Bare Naked Ladies,” or “The Arrogant Worms.”
