TFTA #29 April 2003 FINAL ISSUE
AVAILABLE NOW!
http://www.mtjpub.com/tfta/tfta29.html
It was August, 1999 when Tales from the Asylum Magazine made its debut. Now over three years and twenty-nine issues later we bring you the final issue of this now classic magazine.
It is with a touch of regret that we have decided to make the April, 2003 issue its last. However the production costs have always been a titanic struggle for MTJ Publishing. Since the fall of 2001 the magazine’s subscription base could no longer cover the cost of production. It was only through back issues sales and profits generated by our electronic publications that we were able to keep TFTA in publication.
Tales from the Asylum’s impact will continue to be felt for many years to come. Not only did the magazine bring together some of the most amazing veteran talent ever compiled for a tickling publication. It also introduced it’s share of rising stars that are now considered legends by many in the tickling community.

Tales from the Asylum and all involved in its development have achieved more than I thought was possible. It is the foundation that MTJ Publishing was built upon and it will forever leave its mark upon us.
MTJ Publishing is here to stay. The retirement of TFTA will serve to help us invest in the future of the company. Back issues of the magazine will continue to be sold and we have many exciting new electronic publications currently in development. In fact a new e-zine entitled TICKLING FICTION ILLUSTRATED should be released in the next month or two and we hope that it will fill the void that TFTA will leave behind.
In closing I would like to thank all of you that supported TFTA throughout the years. Without you we could have never made it this far. I promise that we will continue to deliver the high quality tickling fiction, art and comics you have come to expect from MTJ Publishing via our electronic publications.
Thank you
Morandilas
