TFTA #29 April 2003 FINAL ISSUE
AVAILABLE NOW!
http://www.mtjpub.com/tfta/tfta29.html

It was August, 1999 when Tales from the Asylum Magazine made its debut. Now over three years and twenty-nine issues later we bring you the final issue of this now classic magazine.

It is with a touch of regret that we have decided to make the April, 2003 issue its last. However the production costs have always been a titanic struggle for MTJ Publishing. Since the fall of 2001 the magazine’s subscription base could no longer cover the cost of production. It was only through back issues sales and profits generated by our electronic publications that we were able to keep TFTA in publication.

Tales from the Asylum’s impact will continue to be felt for many years to come. Not only did the magazine bring together some of the most amazing veteran talent ever compiled for a tickling publication. It also introduced it’s share of rising stars that are now considered legends by many in the tickling community.

Tales from the Asylum
and all involved in its development have achieved more than I thought was possible. It is the foundation that MTJ Publishing was built upon and it will forever leave its mark upon us.

MTJ Publishing is here to stay. The retirement of TFTA will serve to help us invest in the future of the company. Back issues of the magazine will continue to be sold and we have many exciting new electronic publications currently in development. In fact a new e-zine entitled TICKLING FICTION ILLUSTRATED should be released in the next month or two and we hope that it will fill the void that TFTA will leave behind.

In closing I would like to thank all of you that supported TFTA throughout the years. Without you we could have never made it this far. I promise that we will continue to deliver the high quality tickling fiction, art and comics you have come to expect from MTJ Publishing via our electronic publications.

Thank you
Morandilas

On behalf of the community, I'd like to thank you for keeping this wonderful publication going for as long as possible. It's not easy keeping a small-market genre publication afloat, especially in hard-copy, and you've done a selfless job of bringing TFTA to us for these years. Many of us got our start in TFTA, and owe you a debt of gratitude.

I can't wait to see (and contribute to) the new E-mag, as I'm sure you'll put as much care and attention into it as you did TFTA.

Thanks again for all that you do.

-Dave 😎

Thanks so much Morandilas for the great job you did with TFTA and are doing with your great E publications. You are a true pioneer and I will always be one of your loyal customers.

Goodnight, Sweet Prince...

It is with MORE than a touch of regret that I and the others must say farewell to an invaluable publication. It is no small feat of courage and selfless devotion that someone create a periodical about a grossly overlooked fetish in the face of financial uncertainty.

With the advent of TFTA, the most celebrated artists in the field were given a new audience to appreciate their talents where they would otherwise go unseen.

It gave voice to many of versatile imagination and a form in which their vision could be enjoyed and envied by many.

I intended to contribute my own work at sometime in the future, but perfectionism and laziness got the better of me and now this is the bitter taste of my negligence. I simply never thought there would be an end.

So thanks to you Morandlias and co. for giving us an irreplaceable medium and for the indelible mark it left behind. I can only hope that the new Illustrated e-mag will be as satisfactorily, but of that I have little doubt. I await its arrival with the sour taste of loss and with the sweet taste of hope.

Thank you TFTA...and goodbye.

I would just like to thank all of you for your kind words. While the success of our electronic publications speak volumes with regards to how people feel about our products. It is the occasional letter of recognition and satisfaction that really puts a smile upon my face.

TFTA has been an amazing experience. It is rare when you can start a business in which you are your own target audience. .I am a devout fan of tickling fiction and art and I greatly appreciate the opportunity to play a small role in the development of the genre. In my opinion there can never be enough fiction and art devoted to the subject of merciless tickle torture. It never grows old for me.

Stay tuned folks because the fun has just begun😀

THANK YOU!

Thank you for letting me be a part of this incredible endeavor of yours. You are, always have been, and always will be on the forefront of quality tickling publications.

You are a true treasure to this Community and my friend.

:sadcry:
I guess you never think of things like this happening. Then when they do, it throws you for a loop.
Like I once said before, posting stories online is one thing, but actually seeing one in print is something else. It's cool to walk into a place like Chicago Comics and pick up a magazine that has your story in it. It's something special.
Thanks for the help and encouragement you've given me, Morandilas. And I hope that just because it's the end of TFTA, it doesn't mean I can't work with you anymore. After all, I've still got a few stories left that need writing 😉. Please let me know.
