Anyone interested in trading tapes temporarily or for keeps? I have several MTPs, a Rockman, a Silvercherry and some others. I'm into upper body, particularly underarms. Mine are all originals...no copies traded.

Wow. Given that Magic Touch is the primary funding for this website and board, and that Real Tickling is regularly represented here by Kathy, the perceived insult to them, by posting such a thing, is, to me, bad form.

I'm not saying you can't do it, mind you. I'm just saying that, as a member here, I'm offended. I don't know Kathy well, but I do know Jeff well, and that business isn't a hobby for him. It's his job. Thus, on a board he funds, you're asking folks to get his videos used, from you, instead of paying the whole $30 to watch 'em themselves.

Yeah, I guess I have too good a job these days. I can't see doing such to Magic Touch or Real Tickling.

About the only ones I can understand are the videos from companies no longer with us, and even then, I do hope you're not shuffling TJ Productions videos, as I remember the agreement we purchasers all used to have to sign in order to buy the videos, and it allows for lawsuits.

Mind ya, it's my grumbling, and doesn't reflect the rest of the fine staff of this forum. I'm just personally affronted by such behavior. While not all video vendors are swell examples of humanity, Magic Touch is keepin' this afloat, and Real Tickling participates regularly. Neither have a history of messin' with people. They deserve support within this community. That means buying what you watch, instead of trading. They aren't hollywood, and they ARE supporting our kink with their business.

tape trading

Dvnc, I respect your opinion. But when we pay the 30 dollars or whatever the price might be it becomes our tape. If we want to let a friend borrow it we can. If we want to copy the tape and send it out to someone else in exchange for a tape of theres then I don't see why not. Some people may have 3-4 tickling vids and they want more. But do not have the cash to spend 30 dollars for more. So why not trade? Those 3-4 tapes turns into 7-8 and your collection grows. I would do this in a second. I see nothing wrong with it. All my opinion.

Sandman, allow me to point out what is 'wrong' with your actions.

When you buy a tickling video, what is it that you are exactly buying?

Well, you get the physical tape. In owning the physical tape you also get access to content that has been created by someone and recorded upon the media you have purchased.

You also have purchased the right to enjoy that media for your personal use. This allows you to view it, invite friends over to watch it with you (so long as you don't charge them), take it to a friend's house and show it there, and even make a copy as a backup in case the first one is damaged or lost.

You have basically entered into a contract with the seller that is a 'limited use' agreement.

You DON'T own the content, only the right to view it. The video tape is like the ticklet you buy to get into a movie house. So when you copy it and trade it, what you are doing is in effect theft of property. You don't have the right to exchange the content with another for your own benefit, you didn't buy that right.

You CAN sell the origional tape. No one will question that. It's your property, and in selling it, you also transfer the limited use rights you purchased with the physical tape.

But when you start to dupe tapes and exchange them for personal benefit you are in effect stealing from the content creator. Using anothers property for your own gain.

Just because something is not a physical object doesn't make taking it any less of a crime.

". It's your property, and in selling it, you also transfer the limited use rights you purchased with the physical tape."

So your saying it is my property once I buy it? If so then I do what I want with MY property.

Read my post again. I never said I done this before. I said I would though. I never have.

I run a hockey site where you can only TRADE tapes. The NHLPA who owns the footage got on us about SELLING tapes. In fact they said if we use that word again it could go to the courts. How is tickling tapes any different? Some people make the tapes and pass them along for other tapes they need for there collection.

Your right I don't own the content. But when I pay 30 dollars I do own that tape. And feel I have the right to do what I want with that tape. Giving it to a friend, selling it, or trading it. When I am sick of the tape I would much rather trade it for another instead of selling it. And when I pay the 30 bucks I do not feel I have to inform anyone or ask for permission to trade a tape I bought to a friend or another tickle fan for one of his.

Yes you can do what every you want with the origional tape, sell it, trade it, give it away. No problem with that. But you can't sell or trade copies of it, that was the point I was trying for, pardon my less then clear attempt 🙂.

Ok, got me there, I wrote my draft as in response to a hypothetical case where you had. Didn't edit it to match the actual statement. My bad.

post

Got ya. I thought you meant you can't trade the original either.

Holy cow--didn't mean to start a controversy--I just wanted to trade a few tapes. I believe I indicated in my original post that I don't make or trade for copies. The last thing I wanted to do was create (in Col. Henry Blake's words) a real hoo-ha. BTW, anyone want to trade some tapes?

It's Ok golfer. The thread gives all of the TMF's users to get a better idea on tape trading and such. In my eyes, a GOOD hoo-ha!
