Hey guys! I’ve been thinking for a long while about getting my first tattoo and I’ve finally settled on a design that I really love. I know it’s a fairly cliché question, but to those of you who have had work done – was it a good decision for you or did you instantly/eventually regret it? I know it all depends on who you are and what you like, but I would love to hear about some of your experiences before I take the plunge 🙂

Tats are sexy!!! I have a couple of dragons on my lower back, their bodies and tail form a heart. I was eighteen, it hurt like hell but I have never regreted it. I once considered getting a "tickle me" tatoo but then decided that it was maybe not such a good idea. But, I do want to get a cool looking feather on my shoulder, to express my love of tickling.

I have the Air Force symbol in between my shoulder that I had done while my dad was stationed out last year. I love it and will never regret getting it. I am actually planning my next one. I am looking to get a peacock feather done on the top of my foot. I just haven't found an image I like yet. I want to make sure it's nice and colorful. Maybe even a bit stylized. Trust me once I get it there will be pictures haha

I think that the only way I'd regret a tattoo is if 1.) I got something stupid that I didn't really want on a dare - 2.) something was misspelled - or 3.) I got something symbolizing a certain person, and then that person was no longer a part of my life.

If you want something with meaning, get something that represents something that will never change. Your heritage, zodiac sign, something representing your family, etc. If you just want a cool design, something you think is cool now you'll probably think is cool down the road.

I read on a website somewhere that if you think you know what design you want to get a tattoo of, put a picture of it in your wallet and look at it every day. If after a year you're not sick of it, get it. I really don't have the patience for that, but if you do go for it.

Whatever you decide, pics when it's done plz? 😀

That's a really good idea, i guess if you're going to have it for the rest of your life you should get used to looking at it everyday before doing anything permanent. I have been playing with this design for around a year though so I'm fairly certain it's the one.

All I need now is the money, but once it's done I'll post some pics for sure 🙂

If you don't want to do the picture-in-purse-thing, easy solution: Get the tattoo in a place where you can't see it! 😉

Haha I'm actually planning on getting it on my shoulder/upper arm so it will definitely be noticeable!

I love my tattoo, I loved getting it, and my only regret about it is that I haven't been able to get it finished yet. Tattoos rock.
