taunting in the nfl

I dont understand why taunting is such a huge deal in the nfl. It's only part of the game. If a player makes a great play that puts his team in the lead, he should be able to celebrate in his own creative way. Its ludacris i tell ya!

end zone dances are part of the fun dammit!

i agree with ya AphxA, i don't see why they have to curtail the sack dances and the endzone stuff...i mean the guys that do it have just made some incredible plays and they should be able to enjoy it. it's not like they are pounding the other players into the astro-turf...they are just celebrating incredible plays

I hate a certain kind of taunting. Take warren "asshole" sapp. Did you see what he did before the colts game? Skipping out on thier territory....what a disrespectful prick. Im so happy the colts came back and whipped thier asses. Fear manning, the best all around QB in the NFL.

When I played, I was always told by coaches and other players to act like you have "been there before" and "done that before". That is a philosiphy I still believe in.

When you pull that shit, you are putting your QB (or best player) on alert not to mention showing off your immaturity. I know that if I was shown up like that, I would want to kick somebody's ass

They're professionals and should act like they've been there before. There's a distinct difference between taunting and celebrating a good play. Players are too often crossing the line.
Celebrating a sack in a 31 to 0 game is plain fucking stupid and not professional at all.

well, in the begging, they spend 5 min. talking about this problem, and even shows an nfl team who has just scored a touchdown, dancing to the broadway, Riverdance. it's a very funny movie, but address the problem in sports where there is far less sportsman ship and more money hungry corporations and the dying "love of the game"
