And lo, the fabled picture of the Teen Titans Witch Hunt was seen by the people, and it was good. The people were joyous for their new, uh.... tickling art thingy and were quick to bid unto thine Snail, "Dude, you should totally do a revenge pic". And thine Snail was also quick unto his reply to his bretheren whence he said, ".....Yeah, okay".

Forsooth, after days of labour and toil in thine chamber of... drawing....... stuff, yon Snail would bring forth to his bretheren a revenge pic of laughter and mirth so fine that it would move the heavens themselves. And all was well in yonder kingdom of the Theater of Tickle, save for the boredom most foul which drove thine Snail to write an introduction of such goofery, it would serve several sombre sorrows silent on thine Sunday of such stale stupor.

In regardless to the apparent controversy on this pic, I'll say this. Whether or not anyone likes my, or anyone else's, work is irrelevent. Everyone has their own opinion and they are entitled to it. All I ask is that if you don't like my work and you feel compelled to voice that opinion, please do it in a constructive manner. "You should try doing this instead", good. "It sucks and you're stupid", not good.

As for the comments on this pic, I don't particularily care if the anatomy, perspective or anything else in my drawings is good enough for you, Rgevskiy. They are good enough for me and that's all that matters.

The fact that they are good enough for my editor, publisher, art director, mentor and, well, everyone who's been paying me lots of money for the last month or so to draw? That's doesn't hurt either. 😉

Oh, and bit:
Your affection of alliteration as accompanied by awesome admirations and affections of apparent artwork have achieved an amiable amigo for many annums, alright? Sixteen! lol

I see, my small criticism has very wounded your vanity. 😉
Don't try to justify your incompetence. Any really competent artist can smash you with criticism. The best way for you - to find the good teacher-artist (or cartoonists school) and completely to change your style. You have some intuitive skills about anatomy, but it not real knowledge. I do not see real art erudition in your works, I see well-trained copyist in you. You can ignore my criticism, but it not the best way for you. Sometimes you have ambitions inappropriate to your real level. The senior artists just too politically are correct to tell it to you.

P.S. I don't say "It sucks and you're stupid", I say: "Learn anatomy!". You think it not a constructive criticism? Or you do not trust me? 😉 Oh yes, your boss considers that your level is good enough (and your fans too). But "is good enough" and "is really good" - two different things. 😉

Now I'm not gonna take sides here because that can damage things. On the one end Snail, as much as I like your art this isn't one of your best pieces. It's okay, just not great. I will agree that the anatomy, in comparison to the first pic, not as good, but I do like the coloring of this as usual.

Rgevskiy, I like your attempt to try to help a fellow artist, but you could use a little more tact than what you used.

Yes, I agree. My speech is very rough. The reason is simple: my English language is very not perfect. I must write a simple and direct phrases. Otherwise, a high probability of misunderstanding. Probably I state my ideas with wrong intonation. Excuse me.

I'd excuse you if your work was any better; take an honest look at your Lara Croft mini-comic, and tell me that it is even in league with the above picture. Hell, the only one's I saw that were any good was the teaser pic of your mini-comic. Quite frankly, whether it is your intention or not, I see nothing but a brow-beating elitist, and cheap attempt to get others to check out your own art work.

Rgevskiy, I understand that your Engish is not perfect; this is a diverse community and not everyone is a native English speaker. Well, I can try to write some detailed criticism, but it is very hard. I not the teacher and I don't know the most part of art terms in English. I have other idea: Soon, Friday-13 will make example-drawing with some comments for SS. It will be more useful, than tons of my poor-quality text. -)
But I want to emphasize: the Snail very much talented artist, but professional art education is necessary for him, because his style have system defects. Such defects can't be corrected, after a one or two lines of criticism.
