Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles tickling victim analysis

An interesting fact that you may or may not had noticed or thought about since the old series had aired.
It occurred to me that the script writers had chosen to make the female victims stronger than the male victims in willpower. April and Kaitland refused to talk while Zach, Vernon and Mr. Burns pleaded, begged and finally gave in. Perhaps there was a majority of female script writers working for the animation company.

I'm sorry that I missed all this tickling action on this show...but then it would've required me to actually sit and watch this show. As my normal fare includes documentaries on PBS, Discovery, or History Channel, having to do so would be the equal of being tied down and being forced to listen to an endless string of Barry Manilow albums...

and i liked the mutant ninja turtles.
i thought they gave up on april too fast, she would have broke in a few more minutes. i had hoped they would tickle the april character in the movies that were made. alas they missed a great opportunity.

Here's something else strange I noticed about the Ninja turtle cartoon. They never released a Don Turtelli figure. I can remember seeing so many figures in the stores that never even made an appearance in the cartoon, yet they never made one of Don Turtelli.

I'm not so sure about that.
Remeber now that Turtelli was a very stereotypical italian mob-boss, and that Irish cop who though the ninja turtles were leprechauns was pretty politcally incorrect as well, they werent exactly hopping on the bandwagon there.

I think you're all forgetting something.

April was one of the main characters. Berne & Vern were not. April's personality was that of a gutsy heroic type, always willing to take the risks (or the abuse) to save the day. In that regard, she was essentially a female version of the Turtles.

Vern was a selfish wimp. Berne, an opportunist. It simply served to highlight April's skills more that she did such a good job in the face of adversity.

Anyway. Since April was one of the heroic main characters, of course she'd be the one to resist.

...I've no explanation for the Zach/Kaitlyn issue though. I *am* rather surprised we're all analyzing this to such a degree, though. Obsess much? 😉
