Greetings, TMFers and welcome to the inaugural edition of "Ten Questions with Dave". This will be a regular feature and one that I hope will allow us all to know one another a little better. Each edition, I will be "sitting down" with a member of the tickling community for a quick chat.

First up is a man who needs little introduction. He's been a constant advocate of the tickling community and gives of himself endlessly. He's quick with a joke and to light up your smoke...and someone I'm proud to call my best bud...

Venray!
*******************************

1 You won a well-deserved Golden Feather Award for “Special Contribution to the Tickling Community”. What do you see as your “place” within the community, your special niche?

Hmmmmmm. Start with the tough one eh...I don't know about a niche.... I like to have fun and promote fun, so when I see the opportunity to do so I take it. It could be something goofy like the South Park thread, or posting pics in the image section to fill a request or any number of things.
I just like the interaction with others.

My main purpose for being here is to get to know as many folks from the community as possible and make new friends. I have been blessed in that regard over the past few years as I have had the opportunity to meet many at the various gatherings and get-togethers that I have attended.

Some of my best friends in life have come from these meetings. So I guess you could say that I want to show folks that we really CAN be a community and interact well with each other both on and off line. The friendships that I have made here will last a lifetime.

2) What is your favorite Gathering memory?

Easy. I tell this one often. In fact, it involves you. SBG #1 My first gathering. Picture Mimi tied down with several gentlemen attacking her and in the next room my lovely wife down for the first time ever, blindfolded at the mercy of Dave2112 whom she has just met for the first time. Mimi is laughing quite loudly when from beyond the closed room comes the voice of my wife SCREAMING “ I’d kill you if I could see you”. Dead silence from the entire gathering and then we all burst out in laughter. From behind the door again the voice of my wife yelling “Stop laughing at me”…….I laughed til I cried as did many others.

Everyone we met that day are still our friends. Some we have become very close to over the years. To me, this is what it is all about.

3) What would your "Dream Job" be? Here's the catch: It can only be a job that you would theoretically be qualified for.

No catch here. I am already working my dream job. I get to play all day and have fun and bring smiles to the faces of kids of all ages (1-100) and they PAY me for it. It is a stress free environment where one can truly be themselves. (and I get to do all this in a mall while working with cute young girls.) Life is good!

4) What was the dumbest thing you ever did, fully knowing beforehand that it was a dumb thing to do?

Getting into a car and driving after consuming about a pint of Southern comfort at a high school football game. I knew I shouldn’t drive, but of course it didn’t stop me. I was 18 and invincible… To this day I don’t know how I made it home in one piece. The things we do as kids…

5) I know you’re a huge fan of Star Trek. If the Star Trek and Star Wars universes crossed paths, which two characters would you most like to see fight each other?

Piece of cake. Mr. Spock VS. Jar Jar….one Vulcan nerve pinch would work wonders..

6) You were a Moderator on the TMF for quite some time. What is the best thing you took away from the experience?

I learned a lot from the experience, mostly about myself. I was too quick to judge in some cases and not quick enough in others. It is difficult at times to decipher the true intent of the words typed in a thread. Not in the case of the regular trolls and troublemakers, but these are few in actual number here. I would like to think that the experience has helped me to develop more tolerance for the other guy’s point of view. I am still working on that one in some cases.

7) Quarterback for the New England Patriots or Owner and Publisher of Playboy?

Oh come now....A QB's arm doesn’t last forever. One good injury and the career is over. It would have to be Hef. He just keeps going, and going, and going.....
and making a pile of money in the process.....(not to mention the "fringe benefits")

8) If you were not into tickling, what fetish do you think you’d most likely have?

I have many. A foot fetish for one. If not tickling I would probably have experimented a little more with spanking and being spanked….or some such power exchange activity...

9) If you had to spend the rest of your life in a foreign country, which would it be and why? (Canada doesn’t count, too easy!)

Canada is a foreign country? I thought they were our suburbs. You know, Americans with funny accents...

Italy. I have never been and would like to get back to my roots so to speak and take in the culture. There would be plento to keep me occupied.

10) What single “superpower” would you love to have?

Invulnerability. Then drop me in the middle east with a small arsenal and watch me raise some hell looking for Osama.

Thanks for the opportunity to take part in this Dave. I hope you enjoy the answers as much as I enjoyed giving them.

To be completely honest, I posted this thread after copying it from my PM...without even reading it first. (I know, an editor's nightmare...I just wanted to read them on the Forum first...) But, knowing exactly how you are, Ray...I knew they'd be good answers.

They were actually GREAT! Thank you abundantly for sharing of yourself with the community.

I sincerely hope it's okay to reply to these threads when you post them, Dave. If not please feel free to remove my post here!

I am completely dying over the answer to questions #2, the favorite gathering memory. I had TOTALLY forgotten that moment, but I am sitting here crying from laughing so hard as it all comes back to me! That was indeed one of the funniest moments I've ever seen/heard at a gathering! Along with the return of that memory came another from later in that same gathering, the second time Dave had Venraya tied down and at his ticklish mercy. We could hear various shrieks and threats and laughter emitting from behind the closed door, and then out of the blue comes this tremendous boom: "YOU FUCKING BASTAAAAAAAAAAARD!!!" I think the rest of us wound up laughing harder than SHE did that session! God bless you Raya for providing us such entertaining gathering memories!

GREAT answers Ray!! And nice questions, Dave!

Mimi 😀

It's perfectly fine to reply to these threads! That's the whole point of TQWD, the community interaction. :twohugs:

I also remember that gathering fondly! Honestly, I had not thought of that when I posted the question to Ray. I was interested in his favorite gathering memory, and it turns out it is also one of mine!

I will let Tracy answer for herself where that is concerned....lol....

Oh yes, that was a true turning point for us, and MY favorite gathering by far, since so many good friends were first met there.. We've been to many wonderful gatherings now, but that will always be the best in my book...
