Arnold Schwarznegger is one of the republican candidates for governor in California. Will he be as stupid as Reagan was as president or can we expect more from the Terminator?

This election is going to be a joke. The nad part is the last laugh will be on the voters. I mean it is not just Arnold running but also a porn actress, a standup comic, a bounty hunter and Gary Coleman. If I lived in California (and am I ever glad I don't!)
I might vote for Gary . . .after all, he needs the work.😀

Unfortunatley, I am one of those trapped in Califormia and I have to deal with this. This may look like a joke to those who are outside this state but if you had any knowledge of the massive problems and issues we have to face you would want some changes as well.

As an example, I just sent my check to the state of California to register just one of my vehicles. Thanks to Governor Davis's inept abiltity to manage the state budget, this check was $1500.00
How many of you are paying that to register your vehicle?

Workers compensation insurance is climing at a rate of over 30% a year, forcing many, many businesses to flee the state or close all together.

This is but a small fraction of the problems we have to face everyday. No one knows who will be Govenor after October but one thing we all know, Davis is out! This is not just along party lines either. Democrats, Rebuplicans, Independants all want him gone!. Almost anyone would certainly do a better job.

Jinkies, just the thought of having Arnold for Governor makes me want to leave California like, forever! Not that Larry Flynt, Angelyne or any of the others would be any better! The people already think everyone in Cali is flaky, this is going to convince most of them! Does anyone know if there are any, like, REAL politicians running?

For all we know Arnold just may be good for California I really don't think he can be any worse than this current moron I drive tractor trailer in California from time to time I know I will not go over 55 mph in that state Be darned if I'll help pay for that deficit by getting a freakin speedin ticket That 55 mph rule SUCKS
Maybe the next governor will get rid of it

well Zod, just go to germany, on the freeway there there's no speed limit at all (usually doin about 150 mph, when driving there, I happen to have a dad with a fast car 😛 (cars are bigtime expensive in holland so I don't own one myself 🙁))

i for one like the idea about arnold running for govenor, now people won't think of him as just a muscle man actor, but a cantidate for the spot of mayor of california! I'm gonna support arnold in this election!

Okay so he is good looking and has a voice you cannot forget. So far the nearest he has come to any of the issues is saying "Stop the spending!" over and over again. He vows no social or educational program will be cut but when asked how he can do that without increasing spending he changes the subject or answers with more doubletalk. This is not a movie, happy endings are not guaranteed.

Watching all of this with both mounting skepticism and disbelief from the UK, one wonders if some selective cull of both the residents and elected representatives of California might be in order. We did just that on our bovine population during the recent foot and mouth outbreak and it was observed that mortality is 100% effective in eradicating tedious and unpleasant viruses. And how else would we ever get to witness the glorious spectacle of Arnold Schwarznegger being casually slain with a bolt gun, thrown on the truck and eventually burned in a big pile with Hulk Hogan, David Hasselhoff (I'm not sure if he lives in California but it's too good an opportunity to miss) and any other orange skinned, surgery enhanced narcissistic loony who...oh God, I think I'd better have a lie down and do my breathing exercises.

I used to live in Nor Cal, and I still love the state, which is why I hate California politics, not to mention the orange skinned, surgery enhanced narcissitic loonies ...
