That's a mouthful.

Shakespeare said it best:

"Hell hath no fury than a woman scorned!"

But that's a helluva lot of scorn to flush your career down the toilet and risk jail over some cheating dumbass! I would've let him go his way but I guess she couldn't help herself.

But why would you dump your lover then go to the dentist appointment? He's lucky the only thing she removed was his teeth.........

Haha! I saw this. Bad on her for doing this but stupid on him for going to an ex that he dumped. There's a reason there's a common saying hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. This just proves that haha

You're not a bad person for thinking that's hilarious. But for reading the Huffington Post? There might be an argument there.

I find it amusing that some of the responders feel the guy was stupid for trusting a professional to *gasp* act professionally. It almost seems as though people are saying, "He should have anticipated this radical departure from professional medical detachment...cause you know...that's what women do."

They're free to think that, just as I'm free to think it's bullshit. Most women I know aren't anywhere near that petty.

Personally, I hope this stupid bitch looses her dental practice, and has to pay for him receiving the most expensive implants on the market.

I had heard about this.

The man was stupid for letting his ex girlfriend work on him. She should lose her license to practice dentistry.

Yes, he was monumentally stupid.

Nevertheless, she should be charged with 32 counts of aggravated battery. If I were the judge, I would give her 32 consecutive prison sentences. That would also be hilarious. :rowfull:

No reason she shouldn't be allowed to be the prison's dentist, as long as a third party is always present. :rowfull:

^I thought of the people getting drafted into the Army were bad. :bwahaha:^

I guess I could agree with you there; huffington post has turned into a real rag! Besides it's all over the news so........

Well although I agree with this, if it were me and I just dumped my lover for another, I'd be getting as far away from that person as I can and have no need for any of their services, professional or not. Too big of a risk and as the news has reported, he gambled with the wrong dice on this one. I know I wouldn't have thrown my career away over him, but there are some crazy women out here........

When the relationship is done, I am done and I don't want or need anything from the ex, thank you very much.

Oh I'm pretty sure her career as a dentist is over unless they need her services during her upcoming incarceration. The civil suit will bury her, and her license isn't worth toilet paper. All of this over being dumped? I'm usually not okay with the term "stupid bitch", but there is little else more fitting for what she did.

But I'm betting both of them have learned some valuable lessons.........

Hey, she sent him a copy of the digitalized version of "Marathon Man'' AND a lifetime supply of drinking straws.....Still, she did flaunt that brand spanking new "Bite Me" tattoo. Gee, if a lady wants to criticize YOUR oral sex technique.... Any ladies that dumped their gynecologist boyfriend and then...Ok, I thought not! They will probably fight this out tooth and nail...Oh, wait.

But that one is!

Anyway. Let's see... if that applies to the opposite gender, a pregnant woman must not sought the professional services of her ex, if he happens to be an ob/gyne. It is assumed that some percentage of such attempt will make her lose a clit or an ovary

But that one is!
She's a rare anomoly at best. Think about it. This woman no doubt worked hard for years to get through college and dental school, and to jump through whatever subsequent hoops are required for a DDS license. Her boyfriend breaks up with her. She's in her mid-thirties. How many people that age have never dealt with a break-up? It's not like he murdered somebody. Yet she is so traumatized by the breakup, she not only throws away everything she's worked so hard to achieve, but guarantees herself prison time.

Is that really something that happens often enough to justify calling this man stupid for not anticipating it?

I strongly suspect that if the genders were reversed, and the scenario you describe took place, most people would not be blaming the action on her stupidity, but would throw the entirety of the blame on his shoulders, where it belongs. Most would not find it as "hilarious" as the OP seems to find this incident.

My answer would all be my personal theory, because in the first place, I don't know what is in another person's mind.

1. The man doesn't care about the intensity of his "offense" to the woman that he thinks he can still get back to her for other business.
2. There is nothing absolute in this world. A good job title will not exclude one to commit crime.

Yes. But on initial read, I do find this dental revenge tragically hilarious...

Well I'm okay with that. I don't know what's in her mind either. I'm just asking if you think this kind of thing is common-place enough that only a stupid man wouldn't anticipate it. That doesn't really require any clairvoyance, now does it?

Well evidently, she was okay with it as well. If she wasn't, she certainly could have just cancelled his appointment and told him where to stick it.

The fact that she agreed to continue their professional relationship doesn't go very far to suggest any great offense on her part that he should have picked up on.

2. There is nothing absolute in this world. A good job title will not exclude one to commit crime.
Well that goes without saying. If your going to talk about absolutes, nobody can guarantee that tomorrow they won't go crazy and kill somebody. That doesn't mean we should lock ourselves up "just in case."

I just don't think the guy was stupid for not anticipating a one-in-a-thousand chance that she'd go psycho on him. Quite to the contrary, I think it speaks highly of his character to separate his personal feelings from his professional appreciation of her as a dentist. Too bad she couldn't do the same and instead reacted with the emotional maturity of a 13-year-old. Now she can look forward to spending her days in a cell shared with Large Marge, who reads a lot of Gertrude Stein.

In this world IMO, one will never know what is in another person's mind.

You can't gamble the certain amount of "just in case" for something you have no definite grasp, like an unexpressed aggression of a (probably) wronged one. The "personal appreciation" is pure carelessness and so far, it cost him precious set of teeth. A dentist committed a crime. It is what is written out there and it is not the first time in the history that such case happened.
