Just curious what football fans think of the Bears (those outside IL)
As the heated office conversation today was about how not one commentator or sports guru has mentioned the Bears as any kind of threat in the playoffs. I'll keep my initial biased opinions to myself but I wanted
to hear from those outside our Chicago bubble.

Alright... let me have it!

DK

p.s.- GB fans, we are coming for your Packers. We'll get the only win
that mattered this season. 😛PP

DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Bears!

Gotta watch out for those Rams Darkknight, undefeated on the road:wow:

For me I am a J-E-T-S, Jets Jets Jets!!!!!!, fan😛 😎 😀

HOW BOUT THEM PANTHERS!!! WOOOOOH!!! wait...you mean they're 1-15? God Damn Dyslexia...

The bears were my favorite team until the '95 expansion year came around...i just wish they still had William Perry (the Fridge) 😀

TWO WORDS: URLACHER!! ...TWICE!!

Well

Personally, I am a Viking fan, but if I had to pick a team to win the superbowl this year, it would be the Bears. 😎

all I know is that in late october, after a great win, shane matthews was sporting his gators cap in the post game interview.... you gotta love that...

and yeah, urlacher is cool... that fake FG where he caught the Td pass was incredible...

Far be it for me to argue with my mentor...but..

HERE WE GO STEELERS! HERE WE GO!

LOL!

The bears are winning the way Pittsburgh did in 1994-1996...solid, oppertunisitc defense and mistake free offense. With that said the Steelers THIS year have a more solid defense than that 3 year stretch and an offense that is openning up more and can put points on the board.

I like the Ram's chances against any body they play (even the Steelers) but Chicago could give them a rough time if they can get to Warner and takle well (the Bears are a good fundamental team so that shouldn't be a problem).

I'm thinking Pittsburgh will make it in (unless the Ravens luck one out again) simply because of the home field and the way the defense is playing against darn near everybody. New England is hot, but Brady is still green and the Jets(?!)...well let's just say old Vinny has always been very giving to the Steelers in the past! LOL!

In the NFC I'll lean toward the Ram's, but Chicago, San Francisco, even Tampa Bay could put together a run and make it interesting!

Anyway good luck to all!

Sigh sighsighsighsigh

I'm from Buffalo......originally. Thank God for the Panthers! And for the Jets...we've always owned their green goofy butts..lol. That's who I'm rooting for now, since then I could at least say my Bills beat the SuperBowl champs...Go Jersey Jets...errr...you mean they're a NY team? But...the stadium...the fan demographics...they aren't even located in.....well.....whatever. Q

Daaaaaaaaaaa Bears. Brian Urlacher is the shit. But I can't go against the Ravens. It'd be cool to see Rod Woodson win another SB.

Hey now!!!

Ya know, DK, I WAS gonna give you the thumbs up on this post until ya threatened my team!! (GO PACKERS!)

Seriously though, given I have lived in WI all my life, I am a die hard Packer fan. I would LOVE to see them go to the Superbowl, but realistically I know the odds are not in their favor. They've got to really pull their stuff together if they wanna make it past the first game of the play-offs.

If, by some chance, the Packers do not make it very far in the play-offs *sob*, I will be rooting for either the Bears or the Rams. :sowrong: :sowrong: :sowrong:

Mimi (Who is now rushing to wash her hands after typing such a dirty, dirty sentence!)

Krokus, I didn't know you were a fellow Vikes fan! Cool! Well, since they didn't make it...and the Seahawks didn't make it....and the Colts didn't make it...and the Saints didn't make it...and the Browns didn't make it...

I'd have to say I'm kinda pulling for Da Bearss. Not sure if they'll get past the Rams, but it would be a neat ending to a weird season. Anything can (and usually does) happen in the playoffs, and it's usually a team that's counted out that makes it. Odds are on a Steelers/Rams Super Bowl, but anything in between could happen. Who would have thought at the beggining of the season that a Pats/Eagles Super Bowl could happen? I'd like to see the Eagles personally, but I doubt it.😎

Alright... we got some cool replies to my post.
So now I speaketh.... 🙂

Well, I've been proud of my boys, didn't miss one game all season.
I remember the first game again the Ravens and we lost and everyone was thinking... here we go again with a long season. Believe me I know frustration, I'm a Die-hard Cubs fan too. :sowrong:

Then the magic started.
We got heart and we give it all we got.
Ok, our quarterbacks aren't the greatest. The A-train, when running on track, may be the Running Back we have been waiting for since the great Sweetness.

But everyone knows, the man in the middle and the crew on "D" have brought Chicago respect.
I'm scared to death of the Rams, always have been. And then we have the Packers. They have owned us for years and Farve.. geez.. the man is awesome (looking over shoulder for fellow Bear fans).

It doesn't look good for any team in the playoffs, even the Rams can be caught on a bad game.

Hey Mimi, you know how us Packer and Bear fans get.
It wouldn't be football without you cheeseheads up North! 😉
If the Packers keep it straight they could make it to the Big Bowl but
we shall see after they get the Niners into the Tundra without the legendary cold and snow. I'm very interested in seeing how it goes.

Toyou- old chum, say it isn't so! Behind the Packers and Vikes, the Steelers are on my "go-away, far away" list! 😉
Love the Bus but will he run outta gas? We shall see.

So in parting of my post I say.... Da Beaaarsssss. (putting away the classic Bat ensigna and putting on the 54 jersey!) 😛

Peace,
DK

DA Beaaaaarsssss DA Beaaaaarsssss

I really *hate* the Rams. *shudder* I cringe even thinking about them. And the Falcons. And the niners. And the saints. Well, i basically just hate anybody in our (the panthers) division. But hey, I still like the vikes (thanks for that win, Dave) 😉

Sorry to disappoint DK, but take heart! I dig the Bears too! I was a Decatur Staley's season ticket holder!!! LOL!

Not too many teams I wouldn't want to win...Ravens just because they suck...lol...I mean because they talk so much trash and then squeak by...makes me mad!:Grrr:

I never cared for San Fran since I've always been a Saints fan, but the Rams could win it all and I'd be fine (unless they beat the Steelers that is!!!)

God luck to all!! Just not too much luck...:blaugh:
