This is a series of poems written years ago all about the same person. This is the path I walked in the months that proceeded after the first encounter.

I am dedicating this posting to Myth, I hope you enjoy them my dear. :redheart:

Twined together, pulled by two
Never ending, always new
Heart unclaimed, lips untouched
Pulled apart, as it's crushed.

Can you feel it's surrender?
Or the pain it will render?
Sweet attraction, a "Forever After"
Just for the need of laughter.

Lustful desires for something higher,
but what can calm the beasts fire?

Close your eyes
and fly with me
Transcending all realities.
Come and play
upon my stage.
Feel the life
exclude the rage.
Touch the light
upon your face.
The love that flows
from each embrace.
Kiss the tears
that trickle down.
Take your hands and
shut out sound.
Please yourself
within the moment.
Between the seconds
and the content.
Let the beauty
take your fears.
Open your heart,
please come in here.

My dear, I must say, you amaze me.
Your attention to detail is unreal.

I love the way you sit there,
Looking at me and ignoring the world.

Must you be so appealing?
Can't you turn your eyes another way?
Why am I so weak to these advances?
No control, no resisting.
Pulling me in, like you know how I will give in the end.
So many ways to fall to,
too much to feel, control.
Understanding slips through my fingers
and into your hands.
What is it you can possess that is better,
better than me alone?

When We Meet

I felt those looks and I saw the smiles,
so yes I know what you're thinking.
Drop it now before I have to remind you
where you are coming from.
Speak now or forever hold the pieces you've created.
Shattered fragments of what was meant to be.
You always had the ability to send chills through my steady walk,
right down to the the sueded soles I spin upon.
Now I can't even manage a twist-twist me upon your platter.
Pretty little sweetness for the moment,
your moment.
Only till the sun hits the silver,
spilling me off the edge.
So now I'm spoiled you shout and I nod,
nodding to the rhythm in the back of my mind.
It rises higher consuming my blood flow of consciousness,
until the feet beneath me are tap,
tapping out the steady drums beat.
They've found their soul once again.
Only proving you as a split-second distraction.
Free, now, for the present.
You've come and gone forcing me to realize everything,
while just one single solitary lapse of nothingness has passed by.
In this world I call mine,
with no more than a whisper.

Siren, these works are stunning. And comforting. You speak of love here not only in the true, raw realness, but you compose the whole earth-shattering endeavor that love is in magnificent ways...discovering new metaphors to illustrate the deeply overwhelming feelings, and the intensity of the passion that blossoms.

I am so pleased that you shared these, but more so, I am honored that you would dedicate the post to me. Your poetry cuts down to the heart and paints fantastic pictures of the dissected emotions of love that are uncovered. Bravo, my dear :rose:.

Timeless and very relateable. You know something's honest, and honestly beautiful when it speaks to you, knowing the author wrote them from a personal place that had nothing at all to do with you.

This is a glimpse into love, passion and many more emotions at various stages in any relationship that almost everyone feels at one point or another, laid out in words and not explained, but defined.

To me there's a difference and it shines a beautiful light on all those frightening places we're sometimes too afraid to experience because it feels so damn good.

 Thanks sweetie! I picked out these special as a collection just for you. So OF COURSE the post would be dedicated to my lovely girl Myth. Your recent additions here have left me with chills, warmth, and great big smiles. I hope I brought a little bit of that your way with these. Like I told ya, I hate the mushy gushy stuff, but sometimes you have to let your mind flow and heart breathe with what your soul is speaking to both. Fighting it is futile, really. lol. 😉

Marquis your beautiful response is more than I deserve. Really. Thanks hun. I truly use writing as a way to be perfectly honest with myself. I'll often write things down I can't even say aloud to myself alone in my room. It's serves as a cleansing and release of fear. Like you said, sometimes we're too afraid to experience certain places "because it feels so damn good". I personally won't live life running away from those "places" so I write it down and read it back, until that place isn't so scary anymore. 🙂

damn man... the cycle of love and the pain of independence all in one... wonderful word callage.

Thanks for taking the time to read and leave a comment JJ! This section doesn't get a whole lot of attention. So I'm really glad you liked it. 😉 Keep posting more stuff too! :bounce:

Myth, sweetie, if there was a way to tag you here I would but I'll shoot you a VM too.

Just bumping this up as I feel reading it in the *after* would give you a whole new take on it. 🙂 I dedicated it to you when it was first posted and in a way I'm rededicating the post to you now. :twohugs:

Plus I'd love to see some more of your schtuff here lady. 😉

Love you!
