The Aribiter in Halo 3

I don't know if any of you have played the Halo series but I was wondering if you think the Arbiter should be playable in the third installment (like Halo 2) or if the game should revert back to Masterchief as the only playable character (like the first Halo).

I'd rather see cheery ol' MC as the only playable character in campaign mode myself, though the Arbiter was fun to play as in Halo 2. Would be cool to have him as a co-op character though or something like that, I dount Bungie will dissapoint anyway so we can just wait and see. =P

Well, seeing as I have yet to play the second Halo game, I only have the pc version, I would have to see what the arbiter is. Unless any of you could tell me.

I think from a storyline point of view, leaving The Arbiter out would be a detriment to Halo fans since he, Keys and Johnson are the lead-ups to the climax, of sorts, at the end of the game. Whatever Bungie decides to do, Halo 3 will be a great game for sure. Now if only XBOX 360s would drop to an affordable price... dare to dream

Dude, Arbiter IS playable in halo 3. He's player 2 in co-op. From what they've been saying he's going to be fighting along side of MC in a bunch of missions, and if you have a number 2 with ya he'll assume the role of arbiter instead of multiple master chiefs. I personally can't wait. 😀

I like the idea of playing as him only in co-op. He is a pretty cool character, but something about playing him turned me off, maybe it was the pink HUD? I dunno i didnt like his armor much either but they made it kinda cooler now. Elites pwn though.

Yeah i think they confirmed it, i think the leaked egm scans confirmed it? or that its a given i mean why would they take a feature out

Cool. I always liked playing as an elite (although I was virtually the only elite on X-box live so all the Mastercheifs would gang up on me )

Well here's something for those of you who don't know already. As was already said earlier in this thread, the Arbiter is playable alongside Master Chief in co-op campaign mode. But it turns out that in Halo 3, the co-op is for up to 4 people instead of 2. And while player one controls MC and player two controls the Arbiter, players 3 and 4 use two new hero elites named N’tho ‘Sraom and Usze ‘Taham. Cool, huh?
