He apparently cant go into detail about the specifics because it's an ongoing investigation, but it's clear from what he can say what the issue is.

"Those who think that it is okay to behave in a way that demeans or exploits their colleagues have no place in this army. On all operations, female soldiers and officers have proven themselves worthy of the best traditions of the Australian army. They are vital to us maintaining our capability now, and into the future. If that does not suit you, then get out."

Good for him. I applaud his stance. Women have just as much a right to be in the army as men do. Determining who should be in the army is about capability, not gender or such.

The US Army has been struggling with this for at least a decade.

There are plenty of reports being swept under the rug with the women being molested and/or raped by the male soldiers. Many are made to keep silent.....but this is BS!

I hope all perpetrators are found and court martialed to the fullest extent of the law!

Well, I'm just taking this at face value right now (like I said, I believe him, but I wonder if anyone below him might try to fuck this up intentionally somehow), I can honestly say: Jesus! I have never expected to hear something like that from a top military man from anywhere!
