the bay!!

Hello my fello members. This is my 1st post. I want to know if their are any female lee/lers in the bay, or am I alone up here? I'm an attarctive 24 year old man. Plese le me know if anyone is interested in connecting.

Just a recommendation when using "the bay" on the West Coast - specify which bay.

There's bays that consider themselves the bay from socal to Washington, and I'm pretty sure that there's folks in Mexico and Canada that have a "the bay" of their own.

actually, most people from the westcoast refer to the bay as the sf area haha green bay isnt refered to at the bay, my friends that live in coos bay in oregon dont refer to it as the bay....infact pretty much everyone i know refers to the sf area as the bay, and ive lived on the west side for 24 years now

Actually, that's VERY true, IF you're from the San Francisco Bay Area.

However, it DID cause confusion in this very section, many years ago, when the SoCal kids pointed out that the San Pedro Bay Area calls itself the same thing in some quarters. Turns out MANY areas by a bay use the moniker "bay area" when there's a bay nearby.

Since then, when someone leaves an ambiguous reference, a kind moderator will tend to mention the potential confusion, as it's hard enough to connect without adding complications.

Oh, and I've got you, in years, living in the SF Bay area, and used to think we were "the bay area" too. Turns out it depends who you talk to, and it's WAY simpler to just define that TINY specific detail to avoid confusion or ambiguity.
