I don't know how many fans of the old Wonder Woman series with Lynda Carter their are her on the forum... I am guessing some of the older members might be, but I think the best chance they had to make a Wonder Woman film may have been in 1992.

Those who were fands of the TV series might remember and episode called "Judgement from Outher Space". It was in the first season and guest starred Tim O'Conner (of Buck Rogers fame) as Andros. Andros was an Alien sent to earth during WW 2 (September 1942), with a mission to confront the leaders of the world and convince them stop their waring, other wise the people who sent him would basicly blow up the planet to prevent "us" from bringing are barbaric ways of world. Anyway at the end of this epic 2 parter Andros tells Wonder Woman that final Judgement had been suspened and that he would be back in 50 (1992) to see if earth was any better.

I remember seeing Tim in an Episode of one of the Star Trek sereies (I think it was TNG) and he still looked pretty fit, and honestly I have always thought Lynda Carter looked her best in the 90's. Best of all it was in the late 80's and early 90's that George Perez and friend had brought back Wonder Woman and her Amazon sisters to the mainstream DC universe. With a big buget behind it, an angle conecting it directly to the old show, and getting Perez or one of his pals from the comic to write the script... I think it could have been pretty good.

I've heard that DC is interested in doing a Justic League movie, and they want to do something like what Marvel did with the Avengers. Give the major players their own movies first (Obviously this would be Batman, Superman & Wonder Woman at the very least). My consern is that no matter what kind of effort they make with a WW movie it won't matter, they could have a killer script, a perfect cast, and everything else you could look for in a movie, but I don't think it would sell because there is this negative stigma with Wonder Woman because of the costume, the way she is built, and her underaited rogues gallery (and it is underaited). Honestly I liked the armour she wore during the Flash Point story that lead into the New 52, but anything is better then the shitty costume Jim Lee came up with a couple of years back.

At any rait, if there is a Wonder Woman film now, it will be a flop no matter how well it's done or who is in it, simply because there is a negative bias against her. Ironicly I find that comes mainly from women, even those who read comic (and that is a growing market these days), because they don't realize the heritage she has. Wonder Woman, Princess Diana of the Amazon's, is the mother of all superheroins. I've said it many times "When Stella Stevens hit Lynda Carter with that chair in the Wonder Woman pilot it chainged women's rolls in action/adventure forever."
