who were the first people to subscribe to the TMF?

i would be interested to know who was the first one to post/register except the creator! anybody know?

when i arrived there were already a thousand ppl or so...

also - what level (master/expert etc..) were you myriad, when scott was in charge?

abit of a history lesson here today?

I know Morandilas, of MTJ Publishing, was one of the original members. I was actually pretty late getting involved myself, it had been going for several months I think.

I got in pretty early. As soon as I heard about the TMF from Psycho in the AMT, I got on board looking for a new place to have discussions "flame free". When the old TMF went down, I also subscribed to the current TMF as soon as I could.

But then the ABC came after the CBF and later the OBJ took over the FYI. However, I always stayed with the original TNT so that I could see a lot of TCK.

I joined the old TMF last Xmas (hey, almost an anniversary!🙂). It was about a month old, and already had about 400 members (I think I was member # 408). So there must be a lot of people who joined earlier!

I joined the old forum in January, found it by following a link on the Magic Touch web site. Seems to me by then there were about 1000 members, and the old forum peaked at about 2500. Signed onto the present forum in April.

I don't remember when exactly it was, but I was on the old forum very early on. I thought it was entirely Psycho's board....in fact, that's what I used to call it, the "Psychoboard". Now that I think about it, that's not a very flattering board to be a member of! Anyhow, there wasn't much, just a good vibe, no flames, also not many images! I remember I once took it upon myself to upload to Honesty tons of photos that I posted for pages and pages (it seemed!) (of course, all these images were all downloaded from other sites, many who now participate on the TMF). It was like every post was "nontkl, nontkl, nontkl"! Now when I go in the Images section, I just see "Venray, Venray, Venray"!!!(lol!) Slowly but surely, the engine got going and though there have been some close calls, and even some unpleasant expulsions, it pretty much remains a flame free enviornment with alot of very friendly and funny people of intelligence, wit and sensitivity.......when it could instead be a really seedy, inarticulate, immature, Neanderthal kind of affair!

The writer I always liked and remembered back from the early days who is still around is Captain Spaulding! Not his fiction (because I'm not so into that....though, I have no problem with those that do!!!)...but his writing style when he's just rapping about this or that. I never seem to see his posts anymore, always got alot out of them! (He even gave me some pretty convicting but wise words regarding my messed up relationship with my girlfriend that really penetrated....thanks, good Captain!).

Thanks to the mods who RESCUED this board from oblivion. There's alot of new people around who don't know that not too long ago (as in "months"), this board was almost gone, suddenly and surely! Those that stepped in and took over have done a great job in not just maintaining the Forum but even improving it. Myriads, Jeff, Scooby, Mia (how did SHE get on the TMF I wonder?!), DVNC et al.....thank you for your time and work that kept the Forum going. I don't take it for granted and I don't think others should either.

I had my computer for a couple of months doing the usually surfing and looking at Britney Spears sites.I have always been into tickling and one day I typed tickling,into my search area and HELLO,look what I found.There,were tons of places to go.I stumbled on the TMF the original by mistake I read a few of the forums and saw a few of the clips and have been here ever since.And,as long as I am able I will be here this is a fun place and I do like to have fun.

Wish I were here sooner

Being a relatively new member to TMF, I just wish I had heard about it sooner. A chat partner told me about it and I joined about a month later. Used to lurk, now enjoy participating. As time goes by it seems easier to discuss things that were locked up in the past. Great forum. Thanks to all who run it.
