This is a little late,as it has alreay started, but for fans of the blues, PBS is running a series all this week celebrating the blues, produced by Martin Scorsese. Looks to be pretty good.

Just got done watching the first installment, this looks to be an AWESOME series!!
I've seen other blues documentaries before that were so mediocre, after seeing this first part, the PBS series looks to go beyond all the standard, tired blues cliches. Tonight covered blues roots being traced back to Africa with Cory Harris playing with some of the African musicians.

i wish i were able to watch this regularly, but my work hours have been crazy lately. does anyone know if it will be rebroadcast back-to-back, perhaps on a weekend? i do love good blues music.

this is an incredible series! even if you aren’t into the blues... watch it! you will be!

giggleBaron, terorizer PBS offers the series for sale. I caught half and plan on buyging for catching up and re-watching. it's the first take on blues I've seen done by true lovers of the blues.
