This was the first post ever made in the General Discussion forum, which was created on Sept. 12, 2001. People obviously needed to be able to talk about 9/11, and we felt that it was better to give them a special place for that rather than have it going on among the fetishy talk in Tickling Discussion.
We had discussed creating a forum for general talk several times, but Myriads and I were both unsure if it was really something we needed or anyone would be interested in. Seven years later, Gen Dis has more posts in it than any other forum on the TMF.
