BOSOX do it in 4 and a shut out!! I am well pleased, a friend of mine here is well pleased...and yeah, my wallet grew a bit...86 years and it is over now.
But, hey I should not praise too much, as I am a Mets fan, but, I so wanted to see this....sweetness. BOSOX did it!

My hubby is a Mets man as well, Curr and has a downright hatred of anything and everything American League. But even he was happy to see the Red Sox win tonight. 😛

I learned the Sox won tonight from the singer in a new wave band of all people. She's originally from Boston and called her mom to make sure nobody was throwing trashcans through the living room window.

I'm happy they finally did it for one reason. I never have to hear this curse bunk ever again! Hooray! You got your damn championship, Beantown! Now shutup about this Bambino blizz blazz and get on with your lives.

Too bad about those Cubs and that goat though.

a few things lifted the curse and yes i am not a red sox fan but am happy for them. the first thing is getting curt shilling when the phillies refused to sign him because gm ed wade do not like him. secondly the yanks had terrible pitching this year. there is no way the current yank pitching lineup was half as good as in the past with guys like roger, andy, wells, and cone!

thirdly the biggest boost was that scott rolen played to his potential in the series. whenever pressure is on rolen, he folds, and he did that last night

If by Curse you mean "affliction" of building great hitting teams with not enough pitching, then yeah, I geuss the Curse is lifted. If you mean the "affliction" of idiodic managment, yeah, that Curse is lifted too.

I'm a 20 year old Sox fan born and bred "behind enemy lines" here in Upstate New York and I realize that I'm spoiled compared to my father and his father before him only waiting 20 out of the 86 years for this moment but come on, let's party!

Actually....

...The curse is that the Red Sox were not meant to win within a 100 hundred year period. Which means, for the curse to have been truly a "curse", the Bosox shouldn't not have won until the year 2020, I believe. In otherwords, there was NO CURSE..the Red Sox just sucked all those years!! 😎

I am also a lifelong die-hard Cubs fan and I hope 2005 brings an end to the 'Billygoat" curse and a World Series title for the Chicago Cubs. It will be the 60th anniversary of the Cubs last appearance in the fall classic in 1945. I think it's been about 75 years since they last won a World Series.

yes they won and i don't believe in curses just poor decisions making on management part ,like trading sparky lyle letting fisk,burleson, lynn walk away not signing jakie robin son.intergration 12 years after in 1961 also if you consider that they competed against a team with 39 world series appearances they also was in the same division with baltimore in the late 60's and the 70's when baltimore had great pitching. prior to the 1969 season it was winner take all in the pennant.but i suffered 1975 they grab my interest a great series, the collaspe of 78 the bucky dent long single over the wall i still think he used a corked bat, 1986 ugh but remember EVERY ONE LOVES A LOSER AND HATE A WINNER so know what i'm suppose to do
