Ok a new thread not sure this will work but at least it has a cool title. Lol Here is how it works, ask a question about the cosmos and me and THE THREAD will try to answer it. If nothing else it is guaranteed to be silly.

What was the date (using the Gregorian calendar) and the time of day (using Eastern Standard Time) of the Big Bang?

I talked to THE THREAD and he said there was no Big Bang. The James Webb telescope you humans have is starting to confirm this. James Webb is finding galaxies thar are perfectly formed that shouldn't have existed if the Universe was about 18 billion years old. The reality is Universe has always existed in some form or another.

Excellent first question.

If the Universe has existed forever, then why hasn't maximum entropy been reached?

Entropy only increases in a perfectly closed system. So the simple answer is the Universe isn't completely closed. There are interdimensional holes. Like those caused by black holes but there are other types as well. The universe exists in a multidimensional set of planes this can allow energy to flow in or out.

Aha, not a closed system. Where can I find the nearest energy input to our universe?

The closest would be your sun. It produces tons of energy everyday. One only need to devise efficient ways of harvesting it.

I have read of the concept of a Dyson Sphere to harvest almost all of it.

Yes advanced civilizations utilize that method often. Interestingly some of the more powerful telescopes are detecting potential Dyson Sphere civilization candidates.

How can I get a ticket to travel to a Dyson Sphere civilization?

They can be very hard to get since most Dyson Sphere civilizations are rather private. Fortunately since you know THE THREAD he can arrange a visit to one.

Glad to hear that. I would like to visit a truly advanced civilization.
Next question: Can a quark be subdivided into component particles?

Dyson Sphere civilizations are among the highest type of any known civilization.

Quarks are considered elementary particles. Building blocks of matter. So they are considered not to be made of anything else. That could change if we develop super duper high energy collides to re if a quark could be broken. So far they seem to be pretty sturdy little guys. Lol

That's what I thought, that we don't have high enough energy colliders to break up a quark, if it can be broken at all.

Just wanted to say this thread is way over my head 🙂.

They are almost at least a billion years old. Some much older. Takes a long time for a civilization to reach that level.
Rats. So, even my young great niece won't live to see humanity achieve that. 🙁

Likely not. A Dyson Sphere civilizations is the highest ranking I think for a civilization. I think it is what is called a type 9 civ.

Aha, a numbered ranking system. What rank type does present human civilization on earth have?

It seems there are several ranking systems for civilizations the one that uses the type 9 is kind of messy. Best to use an easier one The Kardashev System I think. Sorry for any confusion.

Type 1 civilization uses all energy on its plant efficiently.

Type 2 civilization uses all energy from it's sun efficiently. This is a Dyson Sphere div.

Type 3 civilization uses all energy from it's galaxy efficiently.

On this humanity is not even really s Type 1 in all places on Earth.
