The ethics of wearing girl's shoes

Females have the best versions of shoes. Lots of people acknowledge that fact. Lots of MALES acknowledge that fact. So I pose to everyone this question. Is it ethical for a male to wear female versions of certain brands of shoes? I know that some shoes which are popularly worn by females today, such as the high heel, were worn by men also during such eras as the victorian era and earlier ages. But let us say, you find the look of certain kinds of shoes, take me for example. I think that the female version of quite a number of sneakers are better looking than the male versions. Such as K-Swiss and reebok. Now this may just be the old european noble coming out in me, but they are quite nice. Now, I wanted to open the floor to debate with anyone about the ethics of wearing womens shoes. ASfter all, they aren't women's pants or shirts. Would you bew considered a cross dresser? I don't think so. But please, do give your opinion.

I went into a shop the other day to ask about a pair of shoes, and they turned out to be womans' shoes. The assistant said not to be embarassed - apparantly lots of men ask about them.

Sorry if this doesn't contribute much to the actual topic. I don't think I'd bother asking if they were very clearly women's shoes, though, like high heels or something.

I was only using High heels as an example. But, I mean like sneakers. I find them better loking if they are women's. It is strange to some. But I like it that way.

i dont think so! my boyfriend wears these! and with the right outfit they look hot! i dont think it makes him a crossdresser or anything! its all about fashion! and if it looks good, or "the shoe fits" then wear it! and these are all made for women except the jackets! (i just think its cute!! (^_^))

The shoes I'm wearing currently I bought in the boy's section of footlocker. The cool thing about being my size (6 men's, 8.5 womens) is that I can buy shoes from men's, women's, or boys.
So yeah, if they're not overtly girly (ie pink) nobody would acuse you of cross-dressing. You probably have narrow feet which fit better in women's sneakers then in men's.

What's dressing got to do with ethics?

I have a friend who wears womens clothing. He buys it specially, saying that they dont make them the same for men.

As for those pics you pasted, Ayla, pink isnt really my colour, but the styles are fine - I wouldnt have a problem with any of those.

well he just doesnt wear pink! he has lavender and purple and baby blue ones too! so if pink is not ur thing there are more metro colors that you may like! 😀

I see. Well I am glad I got a good turn out.

Again. That is another thing. The outfit you wear them in makes it even better. Thanks for your comments. Keep them coming!!!

Wear what you like. If you're confident wearing it and it shows, you can pull off anything. It's understandably different for men and women, though. My wife's cousin is a lesbian and works construction. She's worn men's jeans and workboots and men's buttondown shirts most of her life. 100% men's clothes. However, the word "crossdresser" has never once come up. Doesn't even enter your mind. Now if we saw a guy wearing leg warmers or an article of clothing that they only meant for women, that's a different story.

Regardless of what gets posted here, this is my favorite.

Probably just the wrong choice of words. I took it as meaning "Is it socially unaccepted...?"

Ok, but... how would people realise it's woman stuff he'd be wearing?
Unless he went for striped pink stockings or stiletto heels, it's not like all feminine wear has "WOMANLY" written all about.

No. That isn't what I mean. Usually, you can tell a woman's shooe, mainly because sometimes it is rounder, smaller, pretty much better looking than most men's sneakers. And unless too few persons notice, you might get teased for wearing girl's sneakers.

Well then, I can't really speak to that, I guess, because all the feminine stuff I wear does actually have "WOMANLY" branded on it. Sorry. Thought I could help.

Nobody teases the Rogue Drafter.
They tease, they get knuckle pizza.

😉

I guess another solution could be if someone makes fun of you for wearing them, you BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF THEM AND STOMP THEM ON THE FACE AND LOOK DOWN AT THEIR BLOODY HEAD AND SAY "HOW F@*&ING FUNNY IS IT NOW, MOTHER F*ER?!?!? IS IS STILL FUNNY!?!? DO I MAKE YOU L-A-U-G-H, YOU F'ING #$*&?!?!?

Make sure you leave a bloody footprint on their shirt and say "EXPLAIN THIS TO ALL YOUR MAN-SHOE WEARING FRIENDS AT THE F'ING GYM, YOU F&*#!!!!!"

I've had that go well.

Yeah, and if they manage to talk back, inbetween blood spurts and broken teeth, you start to get seriously mad at them.

Inspire, but don't inhale.
It's bad for your child's health.

Whatever floats your boat. I mean, having individual taste is what makes us human, right? Being unique is like eating a big bowl of icecream...Everyone enjoys it, and those that don't really don't matter. Hehe 🙂

*NOTE: People that don't like ice cream...I'm sorry if the above part offends you, but C'mon, it's ice cream! How can you NOT love it? 😀

Yeah, go for the lube.
Live by it.
Make love to it.
And then throw it away like a spent falafel.
