The Expressions "MILF" And "Pale Ale"

I watched the movie "American Pie" today. Of course, I've seen it before, but not in a while.

If people remember.. there were two scenes in that movie with famous expressions. John Cho from the Harold and Kumar movies, and another guy, are standing in front of the picture of Steve Stifler's mom, and saying "MILF.. M I L F Mom I'd Like To Fuck". They then start chanting "MILF"

A scene that was rather.. unappetizing.. was where Thomas Ian Nichols gets oral sex from Tara Reid, and Nichols proceeds to ejaculate into what is left over of his beer. Steve Stifler then walks into the room, throws out Tara and Thomas, and begins fooling around with another girl. Stifler then starts drinking the beer with the semen in it, gets a revolted look on his face, and throws up, a lot, on both the girl he was trying to fool around with, and then into the toliet. Thomas Ian Nichols then proceeds to ask Stifler.. "Hey Stifler, hows the Pale Ale". To which Stifler replies "Fuck You".

MILF is an expression that has been around for while, but.. I honestly didnt remember what "Pale Ale" was, until looking it up in the Urban Dictionary, and finding out that it means "Beer with Semen in it".

My question is: Did the movie "American Pie" popularize the expressions "MILF" and "Pale Ale".. or were they around before? I'm thinking that American Pie must have had something to do with the coining of MILF, since the guys chanting at the picture of Stifler's mom, had to explain what the letters meant.

Anyhow, thats the topic.

Hey Mitch,

I believe MILF to be correct, and not sure about, 'pale ale'. I was surrounded by an interesting group of individuals. We were always coming up with our own inside jokes and cliches'.

I believe that John Cho actually coined the MILF saying in American Pie.

As for "Pale Ale", there is really a drink called Pale Ale. In the case of how it was referred to in American Pie, and the Urban Dictionary, I believe that the movie also coined that phrase, with the meaning it had in the movie, of "Beer With Semen In It".

MILF is a great word, and i believe i too heard it first on American Pie. Now, over here in Scotland young pregnancies are quite popular and as a result there are many young mum's and young granny's. So we've even managed to introduce many people to the GILF, the GGILF and i'm pretty sure if you looked hard enough you'd even find a GGGILF 😛

GILF. Awesome lol. I will admit that I've met a GILF in my life, but they are few and far between.

Many people in the area I live in, have kids much younger than in other parts of the US. The girl that used to cut my hair, was in her early 40s, when her daughter, who was about 21, gave birth. The mother in her early 40s was a GILF, but she's the only one I remember seeing so far.

Actually, hasn't the acronym MILF since given way to the slang term "cougar"? Or maybe it's that MILF is the description of the object of a young man's desire while the cougar is a woman with similar desires for a young man.

Cougars, are way more sexually appealing... It's like, "we are doing it... Like they do it, on the Discorey Channel..."

That's just me though...
