The "future is disappointing"

I loved watching the Jetsons during my child-hood (and still do today) and now that we are in the 21st Century, I have to say.....

I am **really** disappointed with thi so-called "future"

Where's the flying cars?

Where's the robot maids?

Where's the vacations on the moon that Henry always took?

Inquiring minds want to know!

Be patient, TM! It's only 2003. 😀

Good questions, TM. I'd also like to know where the unit is that turns a little pill into a 5 course meal. It would make dinner time so much easier. I just hope the taste is as good! lol

I recall a line from a song..."...The future's so bright, I gotta wear shades". Not because of a great outlook but the future is so bright from the nuke that will eventually happen if this country does not do something NOW, that we will all need shades to keep from going BLIND!!!!!!!!!!

What will it take?
How many lives will be lost before the US gets its head out of its' ass and eliminate the problem at the core!!!!!!!!!????????

Maybe more families will die next in some meaningless attack.
Maybe then people will open their eyes and take off the rose colored glasses and stop sympathizing.

I don't think I want flying cars. I'd hate to have to go to some mandatory flight school just to go out and about. From what I hear, they already have the technology for this stuff, but auto manufacturers won't release them yet, because they can still milk the heck out of us with what they have, now.

Think of the hoverboards in Back to the Future. Toy manufacturers are already capable of producing them, but I think it was Mothers of America who won't let them release it to the public. I could be wrong about the organization, though. I'm not sure.

What about those personall jet packs? I always wanted one of those Just think of the trouble you could get into with one of those Guess they still haven't come up with a lasting fuel source for them yet

Not only that, but there are more than enough stupid drivers, who have a hard enough time trying to coherently drive on the ground. Imagine those same people in a flying car.

But I still would love to have one.

There are days when I wouldn't mind having one, as long as no one else did. When I'm driving to work in the morning, and all the lights are still flashing, and almost nobody is on the road, I can't stand getting stuck behind two drivers who insist on driving right next to each other at a snail's pace. Since I can't plow into these people to motivate them to move faster (or at least to relieve stress), I'd be more than happy to fly right over them while they kept each other company on their slow journey down the long, empty expanse of road on their way to who knows where.
