Well apparently science has answered that great debate, and it turns out we are the weaker sex lads... 😞

Nothing personal, but I don't think quora.com is the most reliable source for scientific studies and information. I did a quick scroll through the posts on the link ypu provided, and not one person seemed to provide any credible sources to back up this claim.

Its all opinionated comments. While I personally don't tickle a lot of men, I have met more women that are explosively ticklish than I have men, so in my experiences, I would argue the opposite.

This is just way too big of an issue with too many factors to claim one way or the other. The study and the population size you would have to gather to even come remotely close to proving one or the other is too massive and unrealistic to ever be done, and the bottom line question anyway is why would anyone (besides us) want to? I don't see governments or private research groups sinking a sizeable amount of money into whether men or women are more ticklish, because at the end of the day, most people don't really care and it doesn't really benefit humanity in any considerable way.

Is it possible (and you're probably right about quora btw) that the reason why women react stronger more instantly is because women are more willing to express feeling and vulnerability while men might be mire inclined to resist this. We do tend to pride ourselves on our stoicism after all.

Its entirely possible. As I said, many factors and variables including external influences such as cultural and societal pressures and so on. I haven't really done an in-depth study on ticklishness between sexes, so I can't guarantee any claims.
