The Last Laugh: bonus sample clip for Last Laugh Alpha

Hello everyone,

It appears no one has mentioned it so far, so I guess I might as well start a thread myself.

A few days ago UncleSteve has added a bonus clip for my first video, Last Laugh Alpha, on his www.extremetickling.com web site. It's the only place it can be downloaded from. I offered it to Steve to thank him for his generous hosting of my main sample clip.

The clip is, again, a .wmv file. It's 30 seconds and about 1MB. It contains a few short bits from Last Laugh Alpha, not seen in the first sample clip. I hope you'll enjoy it.

By the way, while this clip is called "llasample3.wmv", sample #2 isn't available anywhere at the moment, so please do not write Steve about it. Thank you.

Both this clip and the first llasample are great, Francois! Two questions: are both these girls French-Canadian, and why is there a #1 and #3 but not #2 clip? Just wondering 🙂

Wow, that was fast! I just barely started this thread a few minutes ago.

Yes, Marie and Isabelle are both French-Canadians, and as far as I know they both still live in Quebec City. Maybe even as roommates, like they used to, but I've lost contact with them a long time ago, so I'm not sure.

As for why there's no #2 sample clip, a few weeks ago I created two bonus 30-sec clips with the intention of offering them to two people who've provided me with major technical help. UncleSteve is one of them, because without him I would never have been able to offer any clips at all, as there's no way I could host one on my own site.

The other person, who has #2... well, I guess it's not really a secret, but you'll hear about it soon enough. Steve was able to use his bonus clip right away, and he just happened to have #3. The other person is still working hard on updating his web site so that he can provide his clip (#2). So the fact that #3 came out before #2 is only a matter of circumstance.

The first sample can be downloaded from www.thelastlaughinc.com. As for the other sample, if you don't want to pay the $6/month fee for www.extremetickling.com BuffyFan, that's up to you, but I think that's a huge mistake, since there are so many tickling clips hosted there 🙂

Indeed, just go to my web site, click on the Catalog item in the menu on the left, select Last Laugh Alpha (my only video so far) and you can download the main sample clip for free at the bottom of the page.

As for the clip on www.extremetickling.com, I feel I owe UncleSteve bigtime for hosting my first clip, so offering him the bonus clip is the least I can do. Yes, it's a pay site, but amk714 is right, $6/month is a steal for over 1600 clips. Highly recommended.

Well, I guess it wouldn't be impossible, but I'm not sure where I would start if I wanted to find them again. Besides, as awesome as Marie and Isabelle were, I would really like to vary my models for the next few videos. Maybe someday I'll get lucky and manage to get in contact with M+I again. Of course, they would have to be interested in doing a second video.

I usually have no trouble downloading clips, but when I tried this one it told me I needed a Mediaone update. It said it would contact Mediaone, and then said there was no softwhere available for this. I really, REALLY want to see this clip - can anyone help me on this? Can the clip be posted differently?

That's strange, I don't even know what Mediaone is, so I find it surprising it would be required to play the clip. What software do you use to play it? I use good ol' Windows Media Player.

Which clip do you mean, by the way? The bonus clip isn't really posted per se, as it's only on extremetickling.com. As for the main clip, which can be found on that site as well but also my own site, a few people have had problems with it, but mostly because it's a .wmv file, not because it's defective. Most people are fine with it. Does anyone have any suggestions for getting around Tiki's problem?

As for the bonus clip... my guess is it is the same format as the first clip so if you can run the first clip you should be able to run the bonus clip.

Yes, I think you're right, making sure one has the most recent version of Windows Media Player would be the best way to make sure the clips play correctly. The bonus clip is indeed the same format, so if the main one works for someone, the bonus one should as well.

Thank you for your kind comment about my video. I certainly intend to make more. I'm currently working on getting new models. Doing information and audition meetings, you know. It won't be ready for some time, but once I find the right models I'll d my best to release Last Laugh Beta as soon as I can. Don't worry, you'll know when it happens

I'm very pleased you like what you see of my video (I assume the picture samples and the clips) and have taken the time to post about it. You have my gratitude.

However, I wouldn't say that MTP and TC are making bad videos at the moment. Granted, it's been a while since Jeff's last one, but he's been very busy with another aspect of his business, and his previous titles all seem fine to me. Same goes for TC, who's been very prolific lately.

I certainly wouldn't say my videos are better. They're just different. Each video producer has his/her own view of how a tickling video should be like, and our respective products please people with different tastes. So there's something for everyone.

I should now admit that I have the elusive clip#2, and it will make its world premiere on TickleTown's October edition in less than 24 hours. I do admit I was hanging onto this clip for awhile, since I thought we were having a September edition.

It's well waiting for, Francois has some nice stuff on TT's latest edition. Keep checking the site in the next day to see it all!

That's great news! I thought the next edition of TT wouldn't be until November. It would have been fine anyway, but I'm still pleased to see everything's ready earlier than expected. Good work!

Well at first we were going to skip August. Then August turned into September, which turned into October, then...etc. You get the point 🙂

It's not a pretty picture, and not a pattern I wanted to continue. We're still having problems with the server, but we'll adjust. It's all good.

And for those of you that haven't seen Last Laugh Alpha, you really need to. Amazing stuff. But then again, I guess you can read my opinion on it when October edition goes live.

I am not sure where Tiki is from...but around here, Media One is a cable company...actually, most everyone without digital cable or a satellite around here has Media One. Not sure if it is the same Media One we are talking about...actually, I don't know how it could be...but that is the only Media One I know of.
