Hello everyone!

This is Francois from The Last Laugh. I just wanted to let you know that I finally released my 9th tickling video, Last Laugh Iota. It's a pretty good one, so I invite you all to check it out at my website (www.thelastlaughinc.com).

There's one little problem, though. As you may know, I always provide a sample clip when I release a new video. Unfortunately, due to technical difficulties I'm unable to make the new clip available at the moment. I realize that's a clip gives a better idea what a video is like (and it's fun to watch). Believe me, I'm not especially happy about the situation myself. Hopefully it will be corrected in the near future. Rest assured that I'll keep you informed when the clip is available. I apologize for the inconvience.

In the meantime, you can read the usual detailed description as well as enjoy the sample pictures on my website. Also, even though the sample clip is temporarily unavailable, the video itself is ready for sale.

In case you didn't know, I'd like to mention that my videos are now available on DVD. Not just Last Laugh Iota, but all my previous videos as well, including my foot video Last Laugh Feet 1. If you're interested in this format and would like to order one or more DVDs, I recommend that you first visit the special video format information page that you can reach by clicking the "DVD/VHS/CD-ROM" link in the main menu of my website. That way you can get all the information you need. You can also find some information about the VHS and CD-ROM video formats, which I'm still offering.

If I may, I'd like to ask for a small favor. I made a fair number of subtle changes on my website when I first released the DVD format recently. To my knowledge, everything is working just fine. However, it's entirely possible that I missed something and made a few mistakes. If you notice anything wrong, like incorrect info, a link that doesn't work, or if the credit card ordering process doesn't work for you for some reason, I would be very grateful if you wrote me to let me know so I can fix the problem. Thank you, I appreciate it.

Yeah, me too. I realize that a new video release doesn't have the same impact without a sample clip. And I really do want people to see what the video looks like in a more dynamic way. Believe me, I don't like this any more than you do. But there's little to be done about it for now. Hopefully it won't be too long before everything to go back to normal.

I'm very glad you like the picture. Unfortunately, it's quite impossible for me to keep larger versions of my pics on my website. I'm under severe monthly bandwidth allowance limitations. I actually have to cut down on the content of my site as it is. I removed 25% or so of the pictures a couple weeks ago. I'm still left with too many.

To give you an idea, I'm allowed 10GB per month. That's an average of about 333MB per day. As it is right now, on a calm day, like when it's been some time since the latest release, I get about 200MB, which is already more than half the average I'm allowed. When I release a new video, with new pictures and a new sample clip, it climbs to about 800MB after a day or two, then it slowly goes down. Even this time, without a sample clip, I got well over 800MB the second day. Scary when one's monthly limit is so low.

As you can image, having larger versions of my pics on my site would increase bandwidth in a major way. I'd automatically go well over 10GB in the month and that, I'm afraid, would result in the death of The Last Laugh. Indeed, each extra MB would cost me 10 cents. That's about 50 times what each MB of the 10GM costs me for the basic package. There's no way I could possibly afford that. I simply can't allow my monthly bandwidth use to go over 10GB.

I wish I had a higher monthly limit. I find it hard to be so selective with the pictures. I also dislike reducing the quality of not only the sample pictures, but also all the other presentation pictures found on my website. Then there's the fact that I'm adding more videos to my catalog as time goes. What's going to happen when I have twice as many available as I do now? I'll definitely need to switch to another host by then. In the meantime, I have to cut down as much as I can.

However, larger vrsions do exist, and they are basically accessible to anyone. Maybe not of Iota right now, but a few people host 320x240 versions for me, though not always permanently.

TickleTown (www.tickletown.com) features a batch of larger bonus, not-seen-on-my-website pictures each time I release a new video (usually about a month later). Got to get them quick, though, because they only remain available there for a month.

The Haltickling forum (www.haltickling.de) has a permanent section just for my pictures, which includes all the sample pictures and bonus pictures in the larger 320x240 format (my website pictures are 200x15). Registration may seem a tad tricky at first, but it's really quite simple when you take the time to read the instructions that can be found there. At the moment that forums has all the pictures from Alpha to Eta, including sample pictures I removed from my site, in addition to the bonus ones.

As for the Iota pictures, it's going to be a while before they're available. It hasn't been long enough since I release it. But TickleTown will feature the bonus pic in their June edition. As for Theta, I guess they should be available shortly.

By the way... If you want to post something about the pictures you can certainly do so here. However, if it's about the clip or the video in general, it might be best to do so in the new thread I started in the Video/Audio Clips forum.
