Hello everyone,
Sorry for posting this particular message a second time in this section of the TMF, but there was a software glitch that resulted in my original post being removed from the forum.
[Or at least it appeared so. It seems the problem is fixed now, and I now have two similar messages in the same section. Oh well]
So anyway, my second video, Last Laugh Beta, is finally available for sale. I realize it's been a long, long time since Last Laugh Alpha, and for that I apologize to the people who have been looking forward to a new video. I ran into some problems, especially in the model recruitement department. It's not as easy as it may seem. However, I did manage to accumulate a few candidates that should do the trick, and I got a duo of sisters to pose for Last Laugh Beta. Also, since things are looking a little better than before when it comes to models, it seems I should be able to release videos more regularly now, though I can't make any promises.
Before I continue, I would like to thank all the people that have supported me since Last Laugh Alpha was released, and even a little before that in some cases. It's very encouraging and I truly appreciate it.
Now, how does LLB compare to LLA? Well, naturally, opinions will vary. I expect some will like it as much as LLA (assuming they've seen that one), some less, and maybe some will actually prefer it. It all depends on each person's tastes. You can learn all about LLB by visiting my web site at www.thelastlaughinc.com. Just follow the "Catalog" link in the left frame.
Oh, yeah, of course there's a sample clip for Last Laugh Beta. Once again it's a .wmv file. Very sorry for those who can't view such files. To play or download the clip right now, CLICK HERE. You can also get it at the bottom of Last Laugh Beta's descriptive page on my web site, as well as a large number of sample pictures. I want to thank Uncle Steve from www.extremetickling.com who's being generous enough to host the clip for me, as he did for Last Laugh Alpha. The clip is available there as well.
One bit of news at The Last Laugh that might not be as pleasant is that I really must raise my prices. Starting with Last Laugh Beta, my videos will be $30 each. Yeah, I know, it sucks. But the thing is, I sold LLA for the very special price of $15 (and still am, actually) because it was the very first video of my very new company. It was meant to encourage people to give my company a chance and sample my work. Truth is, if I continued to sell my videos at that price it would take me forever to make back the money I invested in my company, which is a significant amount. The lack of funds would severely hinder my future video making efforts, and that's not good. I realize that going from $15 to $30 may seem like a steep increase, but I think it's still quite reasonable when compared to the standards of the industry. As I mentioned earlier, I will continue to sell LLA for $15 for some time to come. Only Last Laugh Beta and future videos will be $30, and I have no intention of going higher than that in the future. In any case, I'm really sorry about this new pricing system, even if it's necessary, and I hope it won't discourage too many of the people who enjoy my work from buying more videos.
Another change at The Last Laugh, possibly more pleasant this time, is that I've decided to offer CD-ROM versions of my videos in addition to the standard VHS-NTSC format. This can be a good alternative for some people, for instance owners of VHS-PAL VCRs, or people who just don't like videotapes. Each video is split into several MPEG1 clips. The frame size is 320x240. That's the same size as the sample clips, only the quality is significantly better. You can read more about my CD-ROMs on my web site.
By the way, in case you're wondering, I would love to be able to offer DVDs, but I simply don't have the money to equip myself adequately right now. So I'm afraid this will have to wait.
Anyway, please feel free to check out the new sample clip and to visit my web site to learn more about Last Laugh Beta. Oh, and if you find any significant mistakes on my web like, like links that don't work or contradictory information, please let me know. Thanks.
