The Last Laugh: sample clips now available in MPEG format

Hello everyone!

Until recently my sample clips have only been available as WMV files. I've favored that format because the files are relatively small. Unfortunately, some people have trouble with WMV. I understand it's not a good format for Macs (I'm not even sure they can play it at all), and even some PC owners have technical problems with it. So, some people have asked me if I could make MPEG versions of the clips. Well, it took me a long time, but they're finally available. They're rather large, but if you can't download or play the WMV clips you may have more success with the MPEGs. This is good news for people who've been hoping to watch the clips but never could because of the WMV format.

For some reason I can't play them directly from the Internet, by left-clicking on the links (even though I can do so with the WMV versions). I'm sure it'll be ok for many people, but if you have the same problem as I do, simply download the clips to your hard drive (right-click) to play them from there. That should work in most cases.

Thanks Francois for posting these great clips! Finally, someone understands the frustration we MAC users have when trying to view WMP and RM files posted here. It would great if more people could post MPEG's here instead of others.

Why is it Mac users have trouble with WMV and RM? I dont like using MPeGs cause they're enormous!

Ooooooops!! Really sorry, Jacs, but I hope "It would great if more people could post WMV or RM", because I can't download MPEG format (or RAM) because my server don't allow them... ¿¿¿¿¿¿??????

Interesting. I didn't expect to see this old thread revived after a few months. Can't complain, of course. Thank you for the compliments, guys!

Basically I tend to prefer wmv files myself. They're so much smaller than mpeg files, which is why that's the only format I used for my clips for a long time. But eventually I really felt that offering both would be a good thing, if only to allow Mac users to view them. Also, the quality of the clips, though not great, is a little better in the mpeg format. Still, I wish I could make them smaller. Damn, they take up space!

I prefer rm as they seem to be a bit smaller than wmv and maybe better in quality.
