The Leprechaun Thread

I thought with this being St. Patrick's Day and all I would start a thread in tribute to the wee folk. So pull up a Blarney Stone and lets talk Leprechaun.

The five current Leprechaun movies are:

Leprechaun
Leprechaun 2
Leprechaun 3 (he is Las Vegas in this one)
Leprechaun 4: In Space
Leprechaun in the Hood

The star of these films is Warwick Davis. Does anyone know what other more well known movie Warwick Davis was in?

What famous TV Star was in the first Leprechaun?

A sixth Leprechaun movie is scheduled for release this year
called: Leprechaun: Back in da Hood.

Now if this ain't enough to get you drinking then I don't know what is.

...Warwick Davis has appeared in Return of the Jedi, The Phantom Menace, Willow, and Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. There's probably more. Next to Billy Barty, he was THE little-person actor to cast before Hollywood fell in love with Verne Troyer.

Wow I knew about Willow but didn't know about those other films Phineas. I think Leprechaun 6 though has Oscar written all over it.🙂

In Return of the Jedi, Davis played Wicket, the Ewok that found Princess Leia unconscious after she took that nasty fall from a speeder bike on Endor. Warwick Davis was thanked during the closing voiceover of "Return of the Jedi - Classic Creatures", a special that aired on TV many years back showcasing the technical details of the creature effects.

In The Phantom Menace, Davis is easily spotted sitting near Watto during the Boonta Eve pod race. He's one of the spectators who points and laughs when Ani's racer stalls.

Finally, Davis played Professor Flitwick, the short, bearded fellow who taught the children the finer points of the Wingdarium Leviosa spell.

I didn't know he was Flitwick! My son pretends to be that charcater at least once a week. Wingardium Levi-O-sa. Swish and Flick.

Guess that means I have to support his nomination for mext year. Is he in the star or best-supporting-actor? 😛
