Hello folks,

The new TickleTheater style has been uploaded to the site. I'm still making minor tweaks to fit it to our customizations, but I wanted to get it out there for people to see.

Please provide any feedback and I will listen to it. If you simply cannot let go of the old design you CAN choose either TT Classic or TT New Blue from the dropdown menu below and to the left. I hope however most of you find this as a welcome change to update our look.

It took me a while, but I finally figured everything out and I got my profile to match my "alien" side...


Lots of green...:happy:

The "preview" option helps A LOT!

But I do wish we could customize more than just our profiles...

Maybe a thought for the future!

Well I was really surprised and I must admit... I thought I was on the wrong forum, but when I saw the picture in the upper right corner I knew it is my TT 😀

Actually, I like the new look, as well as TD's artwork for the new icon. 🙂 I stuck to the classic look in the past, so I'm just comparing this version to that one. Though it looks quite different, I like the fact that the basic layout of the place isn't that different from the classic, so it's not overly confusing like it usually is when a website switches to a new layout. The centered usernames for each post I think is a nice touch, as it adds a sort of personalized element, in some way. That, and getting rid of the side bar while reading topics...though the obvious consequence to that is less advertising, it really does help isolate the posts to make 'em feel more "peresonal." That, and the black borders, as well. Me likes. :super_hap

Also, the custom profile option seems really nifty. :happy:

Just a quick question, though. Where'd the "Mark all forums read" option go? :| I used that a lot to help manage the topics I've read and the new topics that popped up since then and...yeah. It seemed to have disappeared from the near-bottom of the Theater's forum index. xD


EDIT: Okaaay, I take that back...there was never any side bar advertising to begin with. xD I was thinking back to the TMF, probably. Heh...

I love it. This is a much better version of the first proposed "new look" which was TOO blue (I saw everything in red after leaving the forum). But this one is perfect! 🙂

The new Tomato Dragon pic in the upper right corner looks fantastic as well, very fitting for the "theater" theme. 🙂
 
hello thanx for the updates TT 🙂

nonetheless new blue has too much contrast, same for TT2008, so i stick with classic ( maybe it's also cos my computer screen is very old and i can't appreciate the new designs as they should be )
 
i like the blue the best..i just tried the new look but i prefer the blue...i'm glad there are options, so you can choose which you like best..also the blue fits my intense coloring on my profile that i designed or whatever you call it today...ahh if only you could add a playlist option..

TT2008 - I give it a full thumbs up! Reminds me a little of KDE with the blue and Vista with the dark grey. I like it! 😉

The TT Blue wasn't as good. You need a little more light colors to see stuff.
But TT2008 is awesome! :happy:

The 2008 Scheme isn't bad. The New Blue was way too blue. I still like Classic the best though. It has better division between the page segments and a lower contrast. For some reason the brighter blue bars make my eyes blur. I'll try it a few days and see if I get use to it though.
 
The New Blue gave me a headache, but the 2008 scheme is awesome😀 I just updated my profile to make it all purple and black-y, it looks great :super_hap Thumbs up from K!

You need to activate your membership. I re-sent an activation e-mail to your Yahoo account; please check the Bulk Mail folder in case it was delivered there in error. If you do not receive the e-mail by tomorrow, please post here again and I'll send you an e-mail manually.
 
I enjoy the Profile Customization option, although I can't say I am a fan of the layout, it's too bright, although I do appreciate the hard work it took to put it together!

There is a new Thank You functionality which should help prevent really old post bumps. If you wish to Thank a Thread poster all you need to do is click the Thumbs Up icon or the Post Thanks button depending on the style you're using. We'll get around to make those buttons "pretty" -- but it works. 🙂
