Thanks for the extra commentary, TK! Very pleased to hear the story holds up after repeat reading!
Quite an ambitious attack plan Sid has, I'd never dream of attacking such a cool character as Von Smutt but it should be interesting to watch. 😀
Kind of you to say so! I'm hopeful it will. The big confrontation (Sid against Swillwell) is planned for a handful of chapters from now... plenty of action to foul up the recent lull! A few setup scenes (plus a small digression, next chapter) are necessary... after that, havoc time!
Oh yes, cliffhangers can become quite habit forming and it's good to see it's a habit you've managed to kick my friend. lol
Well.... I likely won't abandon them altogether. But this series was intended to have novel, rather than serial, structure; each chapter should end addressing important concerns to come, not necessarily a dire, immediate crisis. I'll juggle the pattern, maybe throw in another one-shot like "Fungi and Fun Gals"... anything to vary from a fixed, predictable formula.
Oh, and it was nice to see Izzy's character again but I still can't wait for the sheriff's next appearance (or for Cyberina's appearance lol).
I was most pleased to be able to include more Izzy! I've gotten a much better handle on how to draw her, and the rather acerbic character I've concocted around her is fun to write! Sheriff Sephie will be back in Chapter 16 (two from now), with expanded story responsibilities. As for Cyberina... well, I know exactly
what I want her to do, but not necessarily
when. The most logical location for her cameo is Bliss Harbor; but no one's scheduled to arrive there for maybe eight chapters. I'd prefer not to leave her hanging that long... I'll do my level best to work the scene in sooner. Once I've gotten the details figured out, you'll hear from me!
If the next chapter in your Cyberina saga won't be ready until July, I promise to wait patiently and scan the Story Section for signs! Believe me, I know... much as we'd love to deliver these presents instantly, they do take time!
