Wonderful stuff

I love the depth of storytelling in this installment -- even if the victims aren't quite as delectable as in your earlier chapters, this one adds texture, depth (no pun intended) and color to the whole saga. Besides, it wouldn't make much sense in the logic of your story if only hot women got tickled! I love the variety and the artistry in your situations and scenes. Eagerly anticipating the next installment!

Thanks so much for the positive commentary, Munchausen! So glad you enjoyed the storytelling! Yeah, I knew I'd be on a bit of thin ice using Sally as a tickle victim. It was a notion I picked up from conversations with Kalamos: "necro-tickling", a term he's coined to describe tickling scenarios involving the dead, a theme he himself has explored (his fine Halloween "Corpse Bride" picture, for instance). That's the primary reason the plot is so involved... it seemed wise to offer some distraction, and exploring Tabor's and Sally's past history looked like a fruitful was to do it. I like to provide background exposition passages anyway... they make the situation feel more genuine, I think.

Hope to get at least one more chapter finished before the hot weather sets in and I become sluggish. Again, thank you for your interest and compliments!

You have quite a knack for transporting your reader (this reader, anyway) into the time and place of your choosing. I was also very impressed with the complexity of the story telling. Usually, stories which lend an open end for a sequel, only leave one direction available for the story to go. Yours, however, are episodic. They are self contained and linked at the same time. I'm reminded of those McDonald's toys that you can buy and add on to in order to create a larger, more fun toy. LOL

Great job, as always! :bowing:

Love your McDonald's toy comparison! It's creative and a most apt description of what I'd hoped to accomplish! Many mini-stories that amount to a maxi-story once they're assembled... I've always favored that sort of plot construction! Ray Bradbury was very, very good at such structure. Also Fred Saberhagen, with his Berserker series (I suspect I'm tipping off my literature preference here!) I've used them as my guides. It's so rewarding to find an audience that appreciates nuance, no matter what sort it should happen to be! Thank you so very much! 🙂

You definitely have talent. As a writer, I must say that your fantastic illustrations are just a portion of the concepts here, the storyline is also very well written. I bow down.

That's very kind of you , Shadow! Getting the storyline and dialogue just the way I want them is a part of the process I really find fun. As it determines everything to follow, writing the script is the most critical stage of creation; still, as all options are wide open, there's a terrific feeling of freedom, too. So glad I was able to convey some sense of the joy the work generates! Thank you for the compliments!

What he said. I love your work, Low Roads. :dogpile:

How very nice of you to say, Mr. Danger! Thank you! Always happy to learn that the work I've done has been appreciated, particularly when the subject matter is as chancy as in this current chapter (next time, things will be a bit more traditional, though I hope no less pleasing!) Once again, thanks for writing!

Much thanks, as always, for your very kind support, Rajee! To receive so much encouragement from such an important, established member of the community (with his own impressive record of artistic accomplishment!) has been wonderfully heartening! You don't know how much it means!

A short update for Chapter 5: the script for this particular installment has proved especially difficult to start (something that can happen with even the most prosaic episode... I had much the same trouble with Chapter 2). I've been batting it around for a week now, trying to find an entry point. Most pleased to report that writing finally did commence late yesterday and has gone swimmingly! This new section of the story will feature several new characters (one of whom I've dropped strong hints about) and introduce a major, important new story element. With luck, all art will be finished and ready to present by the end of April. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Thanks so much for pumping up Chapter 4! This one was the hardest sell thus far, an ersatz corpse being the principle 'lee. The idea sprang from conversations Kalamos and I had regarding the tickling sub-genre of necro-tickling (a term he coined; it's actually better represented with examples than I'd suspected), which deals with tickling of-or-by the deceased. Well, I was eager to cover all bases... atypical too, in that it's one of the few chapters where foot tickling doesn't take precedence!

Thank you too for all the compliments! "Genius"... please, no, not that! That's way too much to live up to! 😀
