This is from the UN Human Development Index which "is updated annually, ranks countries based on "a composite measure" of life expectancy, education and income per person, and provides a more accurate snapshot of a nation's status than traditional economic measurements".
Norway went up six places to number one, Canada is third, Australia is fifth, the US is sixth, Britain is sixteenth and New Zealand is number nineteen. Sierra Leone came last at number 173.
I thought this was interesting, I'd like to know more about the criteria they use to select the countries.
