Here are my feet...sorry they are kinda dirty, but they were drawn on with just about every color marker, and lipstick...it was messy to say the least...so don't hold it against my feet, as normally, they are much better looking!!!! (I just can't get anyone to take a pic of them when they are actually looking more like themselves...) Here goes nothing...

Oh, yes. If you subscribe to a particular thread, you can instruct the forum to send you a mail or a message whenever you get a reply.

I don't use it anymore, since I usually type by night, and find all the newest posts the day after, anyway.

It is also useful if you want to keep an archive of posted messages, since most forums can also send you a copy of the lastest posts - or a daily digest.

I'm not 100% clear on it myself but until Missy Val offers her authoritative explanation here's mine...
It doesnt necessarily involve actualy pain (ie spiked heels). I think (correct me if Im wrong, Val) it is mostly a symbolic power play thing though Im sure for some people it extends into the S&M range. Sounds pretty sweet if you ask me! I've always thought it would be cool to have a little subby boy to do my bidding! Missy Val loves it when I say that. LOL!
