This is rather silly, but let's see. Is there any fans of the newest hit cartoon series? Now, you'll notice I am a male, and I am 25 and I'm talking about a cartoon that was once used to target specifically younger girls. This new generation of the My Little Pony franchise got an incredible facelift from the one and only, Lauren Faust.
Faust is remembered for being a big part in other amazing projects such as Disney's The Iron Giant, Powerpuff Girls of Cartoon Network fame, and Forster's Home of Imaginary Friends! Along with Faust, the ever popular voice actress Tara Strong has lent her voice for the main character, Twilight Sparkle.
Strong is remembered for using her talents for Bubbles(Powerpuff Girls), Timmy Turner(Fairly Oddparents), Raven(Teen Titans), and even little Dil(Rugrats).
These are just two of the many names involved that has brought a world of technicolor ponies and made an innocent show extremely fun to watch for any age!
I know what you are thinking, "What's this guy blathering on about?" But I figured since I didn't see any pony love on here, I might see if anyone else shares this interest. The show is witty, hilarious, charming, and dramatic, all at the same time! With references to I Love Lucy, The Big Lebowski, and even Disney quality songs that leave you humming the tune later on, in public. One of the biggest characters in the series(only for two episodes, though) is voiced by the great John De Lancie(Q from Star Trek). The animation, for a Flash cartoon, is absolutely amazing, and improves each season!(Only two seasons out, big jump from season 1 to 2, and a sneak peak of season 3 shows they improved it even more!)
Anyone who appreciates cartoons, or even has kids of their own, that would like to find a show that'll keep the kids busy, this is definitely the show for you. It's enjoyed by all ages, and teaches some great lessons about friendship, being nice to people, and honesty being the best policy. It's definitely a great show to behold and embrace!
Yes, I am a Brony, and I may seem like I'm putting on fanboy goggles on, but I'm just that happy to share in on one of the more high-quality cartoons airing in an era where cartoon quality has drastically dropped.
