my rant for the day. I finally got my high school diploma!!! yay! yes, i'm 20, but i dropped outta school my senior year when i inherted 100 grand, and never looked back, but now i'm getting serious, trying to get a job, my diploma just came in the male after i aced the GED exam (which was easy btw) and now i'm gonna get a frame to hang it on my wall. this excitement is addicting.

I thought ranting was going to be bitching about something but YAY YOU for getting your GED! When I wanted out of high school officially (I never actually attended) I was too young for the GED so I took a different test that took about 2 hours to complete (as opposed to 2 days for the GED). How dumb is that??

Rant of the day- People who judge books by their covers, in this case online screen names. Vladislaus Dracula IS an evil character, but I am not. Also not to be assumed is that I am some punk goth or depressed or repressed individual who wears black, makeup and accessories and poses as something he's not.

I don't do any of those things nor am I involved with any of those stereotypical things. I just like the name, (which I only use online, and only on this site), the character and it's mythical history. Its tragic and entertaining. I don't like it because it's dark or anything like that or I'm some angsty person.

My beef however is people assuming that one who takes on some sort of vamparic name MUST be into that sort of thing when they could be using it for any number of reasons. My sn change from Celtic Emperor to Vladislaus Dracula was more a homage to what I felt was an awesome performance by actor Richard Roxbourgh who played Dracula in the movie Van Helsing. He made the role his own and he carried it with the class, dignity and subtle evil the character is expected to have.

As I've stated before, its a polar opposite of what I actually am. A contradiction. I'm of the Light, a Roman Catholic and I'd have no reason to act any differently. I don't have a sorry life and I don't role play or play any of those "vampire games" (no offense to people that do). I don't listen to heavy metal, grunge, punk, or any type of counter-culture music. Not because I have anything against it, I don't, it just doesn't suit me.

My interest in the Dracula character is purely a superficial and emotional one. I would like him whether or not he was a vampire. Being a vampire had nothing to do with it.

The only other reason I went along with this name is because my name is Damien. And in the Omen series, Damien is the son of the Devil. And Dracula is either the Devil himself or is the son of the Devil. Either way, it was a coincidental laugh on my part and something that worked to my advantage.

And its super-ironic because Damien is a holy name, theres nothing evil about it. 😀

The same reasons I have this name are the same reasons I'm really into the Emperor Dantius Palpatine character and use him as my avatar mostly.

I realize I've told this story before, but so long as I have this name, I don't see it becoming a non-issue in the back of my head.

Anyways, that my $4.50 and I super-sized it. 😀 I guess I really can have it my way! 😀 Errr....wait...I don't like Burger King.

Oh, and the cost of art supplies these days. Thats something to rant about. Everything is going up and up and its getting harder for artists like myself who also and still use traditional mediums to create their work, to keep up with the prices. They're often unfair and unbalanced. Fortunately there is the occasional sale to take advantage of, but those can be few and far between.

EDIT:

I think its a true shame that creativity could possibly be underminded by price. That shouldn't be happening, especially not to artists who continue to do something special, inspirational, and in my opinion, necessary.

Companies that advertise their weenie inkjet printers as an alternative to real photographic prints.

I don't care what they say but a Kodak kiosk is going to give you "Real Kodak Prints" only cause it's printed on kodak inkjet paper and with kodak inks. But it's misleading people into thinking they're getting photographic prints when they're not.

Also ranting because nobody has come up with a good, available process for putting digital photos onto a negative.

Car insurance for males! We pay more because some jackasses in the country are hazardous to everyone else and have ruined it for us! So its assumed all males all like that.

I'm a perfectly responsible driver, and I shouldn't be penalized for it by paying extra for what other people did. If anything I should be rewarded for it. Who knows how many people I've potentially saved or how many accidents I avoided by being a good driver.

Holy moly with all this rain!!! in in my town only it's either 110 degrees with humidity, or it's pouring down rain.

for 2 weeks now, everyday it's been pouring rain. today it's actually been worse, cause the water is almost to my doorstep, anymore of it, i'll ned to get sandbags. not to mention it's been flooding all over town, 3 feet deep in some areas.

That sucks, Normie. In California my town threatened to flood every year and one year it did in a big way. Got several inches of water in our dining room. 🙁
Reminds me of a joke (which may turn into advice if the waters keep rising!)

A man was warned several times to leave his home as it was about to be flooded. Eventually the whole town had evacuated but he refused to leave saying "The Lord will help me if I need it!".
He was forced to the second floor of his home as the waters rose. "The Lord will help me if I need it!" he called to a rescue boat that tried to save him.
He was found by another rescue boat while sitting on his roof, with the water lapping at the gutters. "The Lord will help me if I need it!" he called to them.
Later he was seen by a helecopter as he cling to the top of the chimney. "The Lord will help me if I need it!" he yelled as he waived it away.
Of course, he drowned.
As he arrives in heaven he is mighty displeased that the Lord didn't help him. "I've lived a good Christian life and I had faith that you would help me in my time of need! Why did you forsake me?"
The Lord said "I sent you two boats and a helecopter...what more did you want?!"

today i decided to get a haircut i haven't had in a long while, but never this short. they cut my hair with a number 1 guard, which is a step above peach fuzz, lol. my 3-day old stubtle on my chin was longer than the hair on my scalp.

it feels great in this heat, but looks kinda bad on me. not to mention the ladies love to rub my pointy hair. 😉

It seems these day that children are becoming more and more disrespectful to everyone these days. Wearing things that shouldn't be worn and having cellphones. I'm sick and tired of these rude, whiny little people and I think something needs to be done. That's why I'd like to start a union. It would be called B.O.U.N.C.E. or "Beating overindulgent underaged nasty children education" (It's good becuase it's educational)
Every member of bounce will be licesenced to beat any child between 2-17 which don't follow under the guide lines of B.O.U.C.E. Those rules would be: Any member of B.O.U.C.E. will be allowed to beat any children deemed "Nasty" and slap their parents for allowing these atrocities to occure if any of these actions are seen. Those actions will be: Disturbing the peace, crying in any public forum;resturant, movie theater, airplane, etc...: unless said action is caused by any means other than refusal of unnecessary desires or punishment by parents/legal gaurdian, fighting with siblings. arguing with parents, children 2-13 arguing with anyone over 17, repeating the same words more than twenty times in one minute, yelling, screaming, children 2-16 cussing, destruction of property, wasteful use of food, urinating or evacuation of bowls outside of a bathroom or for children 0-2 diapers, wearing inappropate clothes for age, children 0-12 having any high tech such as an I-pod or cellphone, girls 0-10 wearing makeup or boys wearing makeup, plain ugly, hanging out with cool people when not cool, use of drugs unless medicinal and givin by doctor or parent/leagal gaurdian i.e. cough suyrup, asprin, children 0-13 fat, children 3-13 disobaying anyone over 17 with reasonable judgemen; kicking, biting, or punching unless in selfdefense, having imaginary friends, pretending to have unseen objects, eating uneaddable objects, or disobaying any state/federal/classroom/bus/home rules. Im mad that parents this age have no concept of telling their children no, in the case of my 4 year old nephew, who i will say seems more advanced and is bigger than most avg 4 year olds(he can operate the mouse of a laptop better thyan me) but he throws the most annoying fits when he doesnt get his way and bites himself and gets on my nerves, and my bro and sis in law do nothing but appease him. Hell 4 year old and he has a gameboy advance and he cries when he cant get past a part and i have to help then

Mad then when i assert my political belief(which isnt one sided but does favor 1 side more than the other) i immediately get attacked by the opposing side as to whats wrong with me, that im brainwashed and etc etc etc. Yet if i should try and attack them for their beliefs i am intollerant. Bah, I potatowned ALL OF THEM!
