The Official Zombie Thread!!!

figured this had to be done. i'm fascinated with the prospect of a zombie apocalypse. favorite moves are anything created by George A. Romero, the king himself.

my favorite browser based games that i've found are:

dead frontier being the better of the 2.

Zombie Panic! mod for Half-Life 1 and 2 is insanely scary and fun, and totally free.

current favorite is the zombie servers for Counter Strike: Source, one of the best and realistic ones out there.

going to the library one of these days to look for World War Z and The Zombie Survival Guide. they look like good reads.

I understand there's a WWZ movie in the works. I was quite impressed with the multi-disc CD collection for it. Someone sent it as a gift, and I listened to it while house-sitting. Kept me riveted for hours past my bedtime.

I own both books, Zombie survival guide is a must buy. WWZ is a pretty fun read but didn't quite keep my attention.

The thread's missing something... ah yeah, me. I've read the zombie survival guide. Hell, I even have it on audiobook. I thought it was great. Haven't gotten around to listening to WWZ yet.

I am convinced I could survive a zombiepocalypse. How can I say that with such assurance? I'm too good at Dead Rising!

Are you a minor char that dies horrible, or a major char that lives as long as people are watching but then dies as soon as the credits roll?.....

i just saw 28 weeks, and i really enjoyed it. yes, it isn't really zombies, and the 28 series is the only zombie knock of that George Romero is quoted to enjoying himself. 28 weeks deals mostly like a mad case of Rabies, much like the movie Quarantine.

you won't run outta ammo if you don't go trigger happy. i like something like a modified MP5 set on single or burst fire mode (9mm rounds are easy to come by, same goes for shotgun rounds) as a sidearm, something simple and effective, i prefer a Beretta, or if .45 rounds are plentiful, a gorgeous Colt 1911, modified of course. for a shotgun, the SPAS-12 is perfect. pick your shots wisely, and remeber, kill to survive, don't kill just to exterminate, lest you run outta ammo.

Zombies are cool, they should do a movie where the zombies have to tickle the living to death to survive, all the zombies walking around saying "tickle".

It should offer intresting new insides in the zombie apocalypse. How to deal with groups for example.

I was wondering, for real now, IF you are travelling with dear ones/loved ones/tickle slaves/kids/friends/relatives etc, and one of them gets bitten.

Would YOU be able to kill or abandon them for your own survival?

YAYYYY! Zombie Thread.

I LOVE zombie movies and games because they parallel this world, living among a society gone mad (in our case gone braindead). I like to see how the characters do when all things humanity are removed. Plus what a fantasy to just slaughter the mindless beings that attack you from every angle!

Here's some recent faves of mine:

American Zombie: Great mocumentary about zombies taking over culturally as they try to assimilate into the society of the living

Blindness: this is not a zombie film per se, but it carries the same themes when all of humanity goes blind, except for Julianne Moore (prrrrrrrrr).

I hear there is a 28 Months later in the works

The Road (Cormac McCarthy) is coming out in a month or so. Not a zombie film, but similar in that humans are transformed into cannibals and only a handful of good eggs survive.


BTW: in zombocoalypse, live on the water. zombies can't swim.
