The old song "Are you ticklish?"

I'd never known about this song until today.
Taking as a given that this was a mainstream treatment of our little hobby, it's not terrible. But that said, even a normie-framed effort could have been better with maybe at least a single other line describing a reaction that had occurred, while still staying within the normie guardrails:

I've thought about that too, having heard it many times in the past, but I suppose that's still us looking through a different lens than the mainstream world. In the song, the idea of tickling and asking whether they're ticklish is more of a device for getting more personal and intimate with another than anything else. I'm sure my version of the song would have been written quite differently 😆
