First off, excellent pics.

Secondly, what is the rationale behind the bondage of the soles; what I mean by that is the rope across the soles/instep of the feet? It is not just in these pics I've seen it, and I'm just curious if anyone can shed some light as to why that's done. I feel it just leaves out an area of what should be a ticklish foot 🙂

in our case it keeps the feet totaly motinless!
and although her soft arches ar covered, it does force the attention upon her very ticklish toes and the balls of her feet. plus her arches are high enough to still force a feather in between the ribbon!
