I'd like to do an animation of this, as well, but I haven't found
an animation program that works for me, yet.

The Tickle Toaster V is a stand-alone tickling unit intended for use
with traditional static restraints. (Shown here with S100 alumnaplast
stocks, fitted with Littlefoot toe-clamps and basic wrist restraints.)
The Toaster can be mounted either vertically or horizontally, and can be
synchronized in gangs of up to four units to tickle feet, belly, sides,
and arms. Each unit has four flex-arms, and comes with three sets of
removable Teaze-Tips that can be mixed and matched for tickle-fun.
(Additional styles of tease-tips available separately.) Control is via
either the built-in touch-screen, or any class III remote-control unit.
Sixteen tickle-programs are built in, along with an Adapta-Teaze module
that can be used to vary the different tickle programs to match the
subject's sensitivity. It also has a standard memory-port to allow
uploading of custom programs.

The built-in battery allows for detached operation of up to 10 hours. In
addition, the Tickle Toaster V can be recharged while in operation,
allowing the unit to run continuously. Recharging options include wired
plug-in, wireless beamed power, or magical conversion. Please specify
the recharging option for your location when ordering.

Neat idea. I really like the clock in this one and it would make it extra fun to change this into a Flash animation. If I would animate it, I would make the clock countdown for those 48 minutes (or even the full hour). Then you can put it on and watch it for that amount of time. That's really something else! Could even make the victim react to having been tickled for a lengthy time. Or depending on the 'time' use different methods, locations, tools, etc. That of course would all take extra work.

Say, what program did you use to draw this? Because it's not hand-drawn, is it?

It's drawn in Coreldraw X3. "Vector" is just the way my mind works, and Coreldraw is the drawing program I'm most familiar with.

What program(s) do you use for creating animations? I've looked briefly at animating this, but the animation programs I've seen have poor-to-nonexistent vector import, and I really do not want to have to redraw the whole thing using the unfamiliar and limited tools available in a typical animation program.

As for animating the timer, yes, that's an obvious thing to do. 🙂

I'm using Paint Shop Pro for my still-art and it does support vectors (but maybe not as nicely/well as Coreldraw). Then for animations I have recently started using Flash Pro (which has a very different way of utilizing vectors, you can just cut and extend them, and they may not seem vectors anymore as they're automatically merged, but when you go down 'into them' you see they still have anchor points which you can move and deform...) Anyway, Flash is a very efficient tool for animating vectors. The code behind it (Action Script) is quite difficult) but you can get a look at the vector import and drawing possibilities there if you get the 30 day trial version like I first did. You may want to view some tutorials as well on how to use the vectors and do different kinds of colouring and so on because things may work a little different than you're used to. For example search them from youtube.

Anyway, you can get the Flash Professional demo from here:

- Highlight "Adobe Flash Professional CS5.5"
- Then select the text "Try" that appears below the title.

You'll need to register your email address and download the little downloader, but don't worry, Adobe is a really big and official company and not some scam site.

As a long-time CorelDraw user, I am of course familiar with Adobe as "the competition" 🙂

I'd been avoiding taking a look at Adobe Flash, partly because of the cost, but mostly because I don't care much for the Adobe Way of doing things, in particular the way Adobe products regularly "phone home."

I think the best alternative to Flash is probably Silverlight, but I don't know much about that at all.

The cost is quite high indeed, especially if you're not a student or a teacher (so you can get the student+teacher version).

For me it was worth buying because I do like to use it for making games and interactive animations.

I haven't had any phone calls yet, but then again, I also live in Europe and I don't know if they like to call abroad much 😛
