I understand where you are coming from, most people find advertisements annoying. However, please keep in mind that you're often receiving free content in exchange. For example... The cover art provided in this post.

While you might consider these self-serving they nevertheless constitute content and therefore contribute to the community. We have literally posted hundreds of tickling art images over the years as a result. All of which have been enjoyed without the need to spend a dime.

In the end if you still find the advertisements annoying you could always elect to add the advertiser to your Ignore List and you will no longer see their forum posts.
