The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is One of The Best Games Ever Made

Hands down one of the best RPG's I've ever played. This game along with it's DLC beats Skyrim in the story department by a long shot. My personal opinion. If you haven't played this game yet, I highly suggest it. Great single player RPG experience.

I always want to like the Witcher series, but I can't get into the role of Geralt. I can't connect to that character at all for some reason.

Generally, I prefer to play an anonymous protagonist so I can make my own story out of the gameplay, but Fallout 4 has you play a pretty specific person and it didn't put me off. Plenty of other things were off-putting about that game, but not that aspect.

But for some reason, I can only play the Witcher for about a half hour before I feel completely disconnected from the experience. The same thing has happened to me with all three entries in the series - I reach a point pretty early on where I start to realize that I don't really care about the character or anything he's doing.

It's a super popular series, though, so it's definitely me not them.

The witcher 1 and 2 aren't that great of games, I'll admit but Witcher 3 and the DLC is amazing to me. I can see where your coming from though. It did take me a little bit to get into the Witcher 3 but I gave it a chance and now I love it

I highly recommend the Ghost Mode Mod. It's the Witcher 3 as it was intended to be played. It was developed by a Russian girl on her own, who took upon herself to fix all of the game's issues and she did a great job.

The Witcher series is my favorite RPG. I did not like the 1st one too much, especially since I played it after the masterpiece that was Dragon Age: Origins, but the Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings has the best story and combat system I have seen in any RPG. The 3rd one was a bit of a let-down for me gameplay and story-wise, until both expansions fixed the latter in a wonderful way. All (and I do mean ALL) of the gameplay features that were broken or improperly coded (like the AI) were fixed in the aforementioned mod. Thanks to this mod, the Witcher 3 is now my favorite RPG, and possibly my favorite game ever.
