More and more, my hubby and I have been noticing things that effect how ticklish we are during our tickling sessions. I thought I'd share some of those things and see what others have to add. Maybe it will give people some hints to enjoy sessions more.
Though I'm VERY ticklish all over no matter what, these things seem to have some influence.
1) the temperature of the room - If I'm too hot or cold (esp. cold), it often distracts me from the tickling.
2) bondage - Being unable to fight and avoid the tickling definitely adds to things. The surrender to the idea of not bothering to fight removes that struggle as a distraction.
3) clothing - The less I have on, the more ticklish I seem to be...even in the same places. The sense of openness and vulnerability really adds to things.
4) non-tickling contact - If there's other contact (such as resting an arm across the belly while tickling the sides) it tends to distract me from the tickling itself...lessening the effect.
5) comfort level - The more comfortable I am...both emotionally and physically...the more I can feel & enjoy the tickling.
6) health issues - Things like colds, allergies, body aches, etc. tend to distract me and make me less ticklish, while hormonal changes during and after PMS make me much more tickish.
7) timing - The length of a tickle session and its intensity can add to things. For me, varying the intensity and location and forcing anticipation keeps me more on edge and guessng..which can really send me over the edge into ticklish oblivion.
