Things that just piss you off

So I'm on YouTube and I get a message from a friend of mine from South Africa (Also a chicano but born in SA, hes grandfather immigrated from Chihuahua) who I play mariachi with to check this video out.
The video is a Traditional Armenian video with traditional instruments (my buddy and I both dig Armenian music), and suddenly we see the comments page - possibly almost 300 messages full of threats toward Armenian Users who do not even speak of the Genocide but merely get shitted on cuz their Armenian. My buddy sent a few messages back cuz it pissed him off (his obsessed with Armenian culture, who can blame him they rule), but it just bother me that YouTube aloows this sort of comments full of racism and Xenophobia

Youtube comments are right behind /b/ posts and myspace comments as some of the most completely retarded things ever to be thought (if you could call it thinking) of. Under no circumstances should you pay any attention to them at all since, most if not all of them are written by 13 year-olds who form the basis of the fundamental law of internet writting:

Person + Anonymity + Public Forum = Complete Fucking Moron.

In short, just ignore Youtube comments all together. Nothing good can possibly come from them. If a person has so little to do that they take time to flame dumb little videos on a website, then they aren't worth paying attention to. Don't flame them back, because you'd just be stooping to their level and making idle threats.

I wouldn't care much for people like that, even that it's something to get VERY pissed about. Idiots like this is all over the internet. Faceless and nameless people who act like shit just because noone will ever know who they are. People are allways tuff when noone can do anything against them. And when you see moust of the comments left by people like this, it's not hard to see that moust of em is VERY young. Sites like youtube, myspace etc where there are MILLIONS of users, you can't get away from it. Someone just HAVE to be a asshole... 🙄

Something tells me you wouldn't feel better after getting into it with them. There will always be more assholes waiting to be straightened out.
Personally, it doesn't bother me that YouTube allows such comments. I'm kind of glad.

True but why can't the owners of YouTube or the mods or whoever step in and ban racist or sexist comments, I mean I know some of these people are probably 13 year olds with way too much time on their hands but he one girl was frightened beyond her wits at these comments and it is really hurtful, but I see your point Cavum.
It's just irritating if you want to watch a musical performance and then have read racist garbage.
