"Answers To Quiz"

1. Boxing.

2. Niagara Falls. The rim is worn down about two and a half feet each year because of the millions of gallons of water that rush over it every minute.

3. Asparagus and rhubarb.

4. Baseball.

5. Strawberry.

6. The pear grew inside the bottle. The bottles are placed over pear buds when they are small, and are wired in place on the tree. The bottle is left in place for the whole growing season. When the pears are ripe, they are snipped off at the stems.

7. Dwarf, dwell, and dwindle.

8. Period, comma, colon, semicolon, dash, hyphen, apostrophe, question mark, exclamation point, quotation marks, brackets, parenthesis, braces, and ellipses.

9. In Minnesota. The team was originally known as the Minneapolis Lakers and kept the name when they moved west.

10. Batter hit by a pitch; passed ball; catcher interference; catcher drops third strike; fielder's choice; and being designated as a pinch runner.

11. Lettuce.

12. Shoes, socks, sandals, sneakers, slippers, skis, snowshoes, stockings.

...Well, now you know! Feel any smarter?😉

Love and Peace. Tracy

I got 8 out of 12 (I missed 2,3,5, and 6). Not bad, eh? 😀 Great quiz, Tracy! Thanks. 🙂

P.S. Don't worry, Jeff--it's not an I.Q. test! 😛

Keep em coming Tracy 🙂 I love teasing my brain...although it doesn't take much 😛 😀

Number 8 was too easy, considering we are all sitting in front of keyboards!

Tracy said no cheating, guitman! 😀

P.S. I would've gotten some of the other questions, but I'm not a gardener or farmer. 😛

I got 4,6,10, and 12! (Except i didn't say slippers, skis, or snowshoes, but I did say spats.) And I'm going to college soon? Sheesh!

I think, instead of worrying about being smarter, I'd just rather tickle Tracy😛

I wasn't even going to read this, since I DEFINITELY don't know everything. But...! I got 9 out of the 12. Not too shabby.

Very good quiz, thanx for posting. I didn't fare teribbly well, sat for a few minutes thinking aboot the punctuation question, then happened to look down at the keyboard, heh heh!

Missed 2-3-6-9 and 11 to my surprise. I have no recolection ever seeing canned,etc.... potatoes or parsnips.🙄 😕

Looks like you are an infomaniac like me.

TTD:devil2: :tickle: :jester:

I got 1, 4, 6, and 12 correct. 3 of those 4 were lucky guesses. I think I remember a quote once (was it Socrates?), that went something along the lines of "A man does not know anything until he realizes that he knows nothing," or something to that extent.

If this is a quiz for people who "know everything", I'm at least happy that I know roughly 1/3 of everything! Things are lookin' up! :bouncybou
